Starcraft 1.14 - Dark Jaguar - 8th August 2006 http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=asc02028p That's the nice thing about these guys. No Battle.net game is too old for updates... except Warcraft 2. Starcraft 1.14 - Dark Jaguar - 8th August 2006 I'll note that they cancelled their own ladder service and have switched the game to officially support another ladder service, WGTour. Unfortunatly, this has only taken affect for Europe (not exactly "world" as it stands then). It seems that other regions are slowly being imported over to this new ladder system though. Fortunatly, I suck too much to ever really consider going into ladder competition :D. What I'm most shocked about though is the sheer volume of exploits people have found in all this time. Fortunatly they have been fixed. They shouldn't have gotten rid of the official ladder. ... how about the issue where the font they chose for the game makes I, 1, and l look completely identical? :) Quote:Fixed exploit that allowed buildings to be stacked on top of each other. It would be too bad if this breaks all those UMS maps which make use of this feature, though... Starcraft 1.14 - Dark Jaguar - 9th August 2006 The new ladder is basically going to become the official ladder, it just won't be run by Blizzard, just sanctioned. And yeah, that little font issue should be corrected. That's why I always preferred a font with exxagerated uniqueness to those symbols (as well as the 0 with the line through it as opposed to the one I just typed so it won't be confused with an O, slight bulginess just don't cut it, and the Z with a line through it so it won't be confused for a 2). The main issue is in writing. I can't draw straight lines very well without a straight edge (and the harder I try to draw a straight line, the longer I take to concentrate, no matter how slow and hard I push that pen, it just makes it look worse), so I like fonts that make up for that with blatant design.
