Hit "Control Panel" up there and "Options" Avatar selection is at the bottom. It's all automated now, you can do it yourself.

oh ok thanks!

We aren't arses like most boards where such stupid little gimicks are "rewards" for inane tasks like posting a lot. You have the same abilities 10000 posts from now as you do when you join.

And if you post for at least five days you'll become a mod or an admin like the rest of us. We give away mod powers like a hooker gives away genital herpes!

A question about avatars - A Black Falcon - 27th February 2003

Yeah, we've got maybe 30 or 40 members that ever post, and 8 admins and 8 to 10 mods...

Oh, and alienspacemarine, great avatar... :D

A question about avatars - OB1 - 27th February 2003

I don't get it.

A question about avatars - Great Rumbler - 27th February 2003

<---- My avatar rocks, because it has a Vespa in it and a weird alien chick!

A question about avatars - OB1 - 27th February 2003

What is that?

A question about avatars - Great Rumbler - 27th February 2003

It's from FLCL [or Furi Kuri or Folly Cooly; they're all the same thing]. You can kind of see the letter "FLCL" in the background if yoy look close enough.

Ok.

What, his avatar? To me it looks like Bush Bin Laden, or something like that...

A question about avatars - OB1 - 27th February 2003

I don't get it.

A question about avatars - A Black Falcon - 27th February 2003

Yeah right.

A question about avatars - OB1 - 27th February 2003

No seriously. Bush as Bin Laden? What's that supposed to mean? That he's a terrorist?

A question about avatars - A Black Falcon - 27th February 2003

Um... do you intentionally ignore political news, or do you just not care... of course its Bush as Bin Laden... ie Bush is a fundamentalist and threat to world peace too... as far as that goes its true. He of course isn't a terrorist... and he sure doesn't have to be with the strongest army in the world on his side... he's not exactly breaking international laws by doing all he can to start this war, but its extremely irresponsible and ignores what any other nation thinks about it... like terrorists I guess.

I certainly wouldn't go as far as to say its a accurate comparison, but it sure is funny... and its not totally ridiculous...

This Modern World is so funny...

And, once again, completely accurate.

Why bother? I can't cure his liberalism by words, he's young, idealistic and just a little dumb. Common sense has proven to be wasted on him. How does the old adage go? "If you're under 30 and a conservative, you have no heart. If you're over 30 and a liberal, you have no brain."

I'll eventually grow out of my heartlessness, maybe he'll grow into a brain :)

Anyway, there's no need for me to comment on the Bush-Osama comparison, as it is ludicrous to the extreme and completely lacks any merit... ah damn, I commented anyway.

A question about avatars - OB1 - 28th February 2003

Actually I agree and disagree with both of you on certain political issues, but it's just fun to see you kids fight.

A question about avatars - A Black Falcon - 28th February 2003

It just gets tedious arguing politics with him when we disagree 100% on every single issue... The arguments never move an inch, which gets boring after a while...

And no one else responds to the big posts.

A question about avatars - Dark Jaguar - 28th February 2003

I didn't get the comparison either... I suppose I do now though. This is like those flash animations where one console fanboy bashes another with some joke that entire message boards laugh uproareously at, but I just end up thinking they all just think they should find it funny because it means someone else agrees with their side of whatever war they think they are in, and of course anything you can make a joke out of MUST be right or something. Sorry, these kinds of jokes seem specifically tailered to people who already hated so and so or loved so and so.

A question about avatars - alien space marine - 28th February 2003

somtimes an avatar is just an avatar!
Bush is a shutem up cowboy red neck , pro capital Pun ! republican. but he isnt a terrorist.
I just thought it looked funny.

A question about avatars - Dark Jaguar - 28th February 2003

It does at that. To be honest I thought it was just a weird shot of Bin Laden.

A question about avatars - OB1 - 28th February 2003

You need galsses.

A question about avatars - alien space marine - 28th February 2003

A question about avatars - OB1 - 28th February 2003
