Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - The Former DMiller - 2nd January 2006

Haha, but I still didn't win a match. That was a lot of fun, though, and most of the races were really close. I have a lot of free time this week so anytime either of you guys want to play let me know.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 3rd January 2006

Okay, well I'm free tomorrow. I work until 8 but anytime after that is fine. Shall we set a time?

BTW, I don't know if you use MSN Messenger, but GR, DJ, and I usually chat with each other through MSN while we're racing. It lets us talk between races and suggest which tracks. Once, GR and I decided to spend a whole match just goofing off. We drove through Choco Mountain in reverse, hovered around the Item boxes and repeatedly pelted each other with items in Baby Park, and hit the boosters in Wario Stadium going backwards which creates a great SCREECH! But I digress. If you do use MSN, sign on and join us. Since there's no voice chat, it adds to the fun when you can smack talk in real time :D

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - The Former DMiller - 4th January 2006

I don't use MSN. I've tried to find a decent multi-client program, but I haven't found anything that's as good as what I use for AIM. I might download it just so for this, though. :) I won't be around until around 9:30 since I play basketball tonight, but anytime after that is fine.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - Great Rumbler - 4th January 2006

Trillian is a pretty good multi-client chat program.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 4th January 2006

Okay, we'll make it around 10.

GR's right, Trillian is a good all-purpose chat program. I prefer just plain old MSN, but you might like Trillian if you use AIM most of the time.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - The Former DMiller - 4th January 2006

I don't think they have Trillian for OS X yet, but there are a lot of multi-client programs out there, although not enough of them include the option to have real names displayed instead of usernames as well as voice chat, which are the two options I need the most. I just downloaded Messenger, though, and my email address derekmiller@mac.com is my username so I should be on tonight.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - A Black Falcon - 4th January 2006

MSN Messenger has the username and email seperate, and the account/friendslist is based on the email, so you can change your username whenever you want... I'd say that MSN is definitely better than AIM. I like the feature that it has where it only makes a sound if a message is sent to a window in the background, and not in a message window currently selected... I think it has looks nicer and has a better interface (and an easier to use friendslist window, just click and drag to move people), and I like the option to automatically save chatlogs... AIM doesn't have any of that... does AIM even have the ability to save your chat color choice? It's usable, but not there features-wise... odd that Microsoft has the best application, though, given that that's not true for other things (IE, Word, etc)...

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - The Former DMiller - 4th January 2006

Well, the problem is all of my friends are on AIM so I don't really have a choice in the matter. I don't use the main AIM client, though, I use iChat so it is a much better program than AIM.

You wacky MACers. ;)

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - The Former DMiller - 4th January 2006

Actually, most of my friends don't have Macs...only the smart ones. :)

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - Great Rumbler - 4th January 2006

:p

I'll be on MSN for a while around 8:00 [central time].

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - A Black Falcon - 4th January 2006

The people I know in person pretty much all use AIM, but most all people from TC use MSN, so I just use both...

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 8th January 2006

GR and I are racing now! Anybody who wants to join us, come on WFC and you can join in!

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 24th January 2006

Anybody wanna race?

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 15th February 2006

Someone! Anyone! Let's Race!!

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - Dark Jaguar - 15th February 2006

So Trillian isn't out for OSX?

Well, that sucks. You see, that's the main issue. There are just too many program incompatibilities for me to just suddenly switch.

Keep in mind I have an Apple computer in my closet. It's a G4! A G4 that's over 6 years old mind you.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 15th February 2006

So...would that be NO on racing, then?

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - Dark Jaguar - 15th February 2006

Well I can't right now, nor was I able to when you posted that.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 15th February 2006

Well then you should have SAID so!!

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - Fittisize - 28th August 2006

Anybody online right now? Want to race? Please race me. :(

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 26th July 2007

I didn't want to start a new thread and this just seemed the only fitting place to post this gem from The Onion:

Projectile Green Turtle Shell Involved In Controversial IndyCar Race Finish

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - A Black Falcon - 6th August 2007

Green shell? But those aren't even homing, right?

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - Dark Jaguar - 6th August 2007

They do the job if you take the time to aim.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - A Black Falcon - 6th August 2007

Still, red shells are better. :)

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - EdenMaster - 6th August 2007

Yes, of course Red Shells are better. And Blue Shells are better than both. It still doesn't change the fact that, properly used, a Green Shell can be just as dangerous.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - A Black Falcon - 6th August 2007

True.

Mario Kart Online Race Scheduling - lazyfatbum - 30th April 2008

Did he die??
