SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Darunia - 25th October 2005

Sardines or beef jerky?? It is written that Plato spent the twilight years of his life endlessly debating this very topic. And now his curse is YOURS! DEBATE IT!

:nodding:

Sardines are oh-so-fishily delicious, and packed with Omega 3 fatty acids! They taste great in any variety of sauces!

Beef jerky is oh-so-smokily yumzy, and packed with Protein! It's always handy for a nutritious, beefy snack!

LET THE FIGHT COMMENCE!!!

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Great Rumbler - 25th October 2005

Beef jerky.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Sacred Jellybean - 26th October 2005

Beef jerky. But I could probably develop a taste for sardines as well, if I got really enthusiastic about sea food.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - TheBiggah - 26th October 2005

Jerky

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 27th October 2005

Shoes. No, WAIT! Bacon!

...

Whoops, wrong nonsensical debate.

Uh, I'd have to say jerky too.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - A Black Falcon - 27th October 2005

Hmm, a choice between two unpalatable foods... uh, can I say neither?

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Great Rumbler - 28th October 2005

No you can't.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Darunia - 29th October 2005

I ate both in mass quantities just the other day while on break at work.

Well too bad, I did. :)

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Great Rumbler - 30th October 2005

You are dumb.

I can claim jerky binges...but I'm going to have to check with Guinness. You may be the first person ever to eat "mass quantities" of sardines. Yuck.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Captain_Rush - 31st October 2005

What about sardine jerky? Huh? Never thought of THAT, did you!

*patent pending*

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Darunia - 1st November 2005

Sardines are awesome, and a long-time staple of the Goron Empire. What's that you say? Don't Gorons just eat rocks? That's ridiculous and so are you. Grow up.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Great Rumbler - 1st November 2005

Gorons DO only eat rocks. That's what Link said. He said a few other things too, but they were kind of insulting so I won't elaborate.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 1st November 2005

The only things I've ever heard Link say are HEEYAAAA and YAAAAAAGH!

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Weltall - 3rd November 2005

He actually does speak clear English in one game, and only in one instance.

Fifty points to the person who can name the game, and the words he speaks.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 3rd November 2005

Probably the CD-i game and as for the words, they might as well be "donkey crap" because approximately three people ever played it :D

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Great Rumbler - 4th November 2005

He said more than one word in those games, so I don't think that's what Ryan is talking about.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Darunia - 4th November 2005

Gorons love ice cream.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 6th November 2005

What do you top it with? Gravel?

Do Gorons use sand for seasoning?

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - A Black Falcon - 6th November 2005

Rocky Road flavor?

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 6th November 2005

How do Goron's prefer their drinks?

On the rocks.

Chuckle

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - He Who Annoys All - 7th November 2005

Buffalo jerky. Period.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 8th November 2005

You already had a period. And a period after saying the word period. Your fully typed period was made redundant by the previous period, and further complicated by the third period...period.

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Darunia - 8th November 2005

Gorons love periods...

...My favorite is the Baroque!

*Drum/cymbal joke cue*

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - EdenMaster - 8th November 2005

You just like periods because they look like little pebbles at the end of sentences.

Hey, considering your Coconut friend isn't really here anymore, perhaps it's time you changed your avatar?

SARDINES or BEEF JERKY - Dark Jaguar - 9th November 2005

In anwer to Ryan (wow, did I actually call him Ryan instead of Weltall? I think I did!):

Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, when you find that Mirror, Link states "I FOUND A MIRROR UNDER THE TABLE." only very slowly with typewriter sounds.

But in general the idea is that Link isn't mute, it's just you have to use the power of imagination to determine what he says. Crono and Serge (from Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross respectively) are the same way. Actually, it's also the same case for Vane in Legend of Legaia. In both CC and LL this whole "avatar character" thing is dynamic, that is, when the main character changes a couple times, whoever you control suddenly goes mute and the person you aren't controlling any more is suddenly able to speak. In CC though it's a bit different as you don't really change characters, just bodies.

Okay Weltall (okay you got your fix of me using your first name? Hope so, because it's back to normal now!), here's a challenge for you, or anyone else who has played Chrono Trigger.

There is one point where Crono speaks clear unbroken English (or Japanese if you prefer...). Where in the game is this, and what does he say?
