Google Talk - Smoke - 11th September 2005 So who has it? What do you think? I'd give my opinion but I haven't gotten the chance to actually use it yet since I don't have any contacts. Google Talk - geoboy - 11th September 2005 I have it, but I'm anti-social and hate talking to people! ... :( Google Talk - Smoke - 12th September 2005 Google Talk - Fittisize - 12th September 2005 I have Google Talk. It's great. Google Talk - The Former DMiller - 12th September 2005 I tried it for a few days, but gave up because I don't see the point of using something when everyone I was talking to also had AIM names. Google Talk - Great Rumbler - 12th September 2005 How is Google Talk any better than, say, MSN or AIM? Google Talk - A Black Falcon - 12th September 2005 Because everyone knows Google is better at everything just because they have a multicolor logo... Google Talk - Fittisize - 12th September 2005 Mainly for microphone chat. That's what I use it for, otherwise I just use MSN for instant messaging. Google Talk - A Black Falcon - 12th September 2005 Google is over-rated... Google Talk - Smoke - 12th September 2005 Well I do like how uncluttered it is. I already had that before Google Talk, and I have video chat too so that didn't make a difference for me. Google Talk - Great Rumbler - 13th September 2005 Yes, MSN has had microphone chat for a long time. Google Talk - geoboy - 13th September 2005 The voice chat in MSN sucks. If you have a firewall, forget about being able to connect to anybody. Google Talk is very easy and straightforward (no configuring your firewall) and the audio quality is amazing. Even with a crappy microphone it sounds infinitely better than a telephone call. Google Talk - The Former DMiller - 14th September 2005 I was talking about iChat, which is a Mac program. I don't even use the voice chat much, but when I have it's been better than most phones I use. Google Talk - Dark Lord Neo - 15th September 2005 I used ichat to connect to it for a while, but that appears to no longer work, on their site it says something about being aware of conectivety issues with ichat I use msn for instant messanging (actually amsn since the mac versions of msn suck) AIM never really caught on in Canada, I know maybe 2 other people that have aim accounts. THis is probably largely due to aol never really catching on as an ip here. |
