At one time, I dreamt of retiring to a beach cottage, but I changed my mind sometime before the gulf coast hurricanes of 2004 and 2005. Whatever the case, I am thankful that I do not live any closer to the coast than I already do and that the last two hurricanes bypassed my area, especially this last one. Still, it is highly unfortunate that so many lives were lost in the nation's biggest crisis since 9/11. |
