Metroid Prime 3 well underway - Great Rumbler - 20th May 2005 Quote:IGN reported today that the short Metroid Prime 3 teaser footage shown at Nintendo's Tuesday press conference was actually only a small part of the footage that was on-hand and available to be shown. The game, announced for Nintendo's next-generation console, is apparently well under development at Retro Studios, the developer of the first two Metroid Prime games. When asked why Nintendo would hold back on additional media for what is one of the company's most popular franchises set to appear on its currently most talked-about (and whispered about) project, Nintendo's Perrin Kaplan had this to say: They should have showed it anyway...and some more games too. Oh well. Cube-Europe Metroid Prime 3 well underway - OB1 - 20th May 2005 Told you guys that they pulled stuff. Metroid Prime 3 well underway - Great Rumbler - 20th May 2005 They really need to have Spaceworld this year. Metroid Prime 3 well underway - lazyfatbum - 20th May 2005 I knew they had the footage ready to go! So it sounds like the whole reason they didnt show was because Miyamoto didn't want to show his projects because it's "So God damned Revolutionary"! Oh Mr. Miyamoto... you fucked us.... it better be so awesomely great that I weep. Make me weep Miyamoto! Make a 26 year old man-child weep before your awesome goodness! Metroid Prime 3 well underway - OB1 - 20th May 2005 I don't think it was because it would give away any "revolutionary" details, just that Nintendo loves to cocktease. Metroid Prime 3 well underway - Great Rumbler - 20th May 2005 Nintendo is always secretive like that, but at least we can always count on them to deliver quality games. Metroid Prime 3 well underway - OB1 - 20th May 2005 That super short MP3 clip they showed was very underwhelming though. It looked like a GC game, and probably was running off the Prime 2 engine. It was stupid of them to show just that. |
