I am Canadian remeber, "down south" is what we reffer to you geographically.
The way things go for me is, Either everyone has guns or nobody has guns take your pick.

Seriously, each time this happens it's awful, but it's not like it's worse than it ever has been or there's an epidemic of school shootings or anything... they're just way more publicized each time they happen.

School shooting was already at MY province, way back when, only a week after Columbine. Only one person died though... (the shooter has since been released to a halfway house just recently)
It's a weird story in that this kid walked into the school with a sawed-off shotgun and shot the first person that he saw, and that was it...it wasn't pre-meditated at all.

There been no terrorist attacks after 9/11 but we are all still obviously concerned , Its not a matter of a wide epidemic were its going on once a week but its pretty frequeint that multiple school shootings happen across the united states every year and its almost predictable ,I cant think of a year were it never happend and I never saw a news report about some punk shooting a fellow student. Its just like Iraq name a day somebody didnt get blown up!
I tell you what in most school shooting cases it usually a stolen family fire arm .
I think its sick that the freak what was it in 1999? only gets 6 years for murdering a innocent person and having a ilegal weapon.

Hitler had a simular psycological profile , Highly anti social and highly neagotive and bitter.
I am not blaiming this kid just for being a product of a failing society , Aboriginals not just in the U.S but across north american are under going simular self destructive mindsets. Its nothing to do with music or violent movies it has completely to do with lack of mentoring and the ailings of a troubled community.
The problem? Lack of intergration and assimulation with everyone else many native tribes and communities remain isolated perhaps even xenophobic still indentifiable as different and abnormal to everyone else , I have nothing agiast native culture infact its our own peoples the europeans that have brought this calamity on a once proud confident and self dependant people.But today we are becoming a global village and we need to help are fellow man more then ever, No more stereotyping or self pity!
To me this kid needed to blaim someone for his pain and built up anger and focus his fustration at somthing, He found it in this nazism ideology of all things.
I cant believe the NRA are now suggesting to give teachers guns to shoot their own students! Yah lets shoot the problem instead of fixing it! Thats the very kind of mindset that brought this horrible tragedy in the first place!
The NRA needs to get there heads out of the cowboys and indians mentality and grow up.That how incredibly insensitive of them to push their agendas at such a time!
The Kid waisnt born evil , he clearly was in incredible pain and the adults and his own people failed him. He lossed his mother to cancer and father to somthing else , Thats alot for a young mind to take no wonder he went mad.

Back in 1997, my brother told me of a shooting that took place in the parking lot at Jefferson Davis High School. Only one person was killed though. Other than that, I haven't really heard of any school shootings here in Alabama. Eversince I left Brewbaker Jr. High, though, there's been a stabbing just about every day. God, I do not miss that school in the least.
