X-Box 360? - OB1 - 17th February 2005 Found on the GA boards, could be real. Source: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/gossip/xbox-2/xbox-360-revealed-033435.php (mock logo) ![]() Quote:Not everyone has to wait around to hear details of Microsoft’s sexy new Xbox 360—and now, thanks to Kotaku, neither do you. An exclusive Kotaku source has revealed a bevy of facts about the next-generation console set to rock the Xbox world. Retarded name (that's been rumored for months), but I like the idea of it being lighter colored and slimmer. The whole ring of light thing sounds retarded though. X-Box 360? - A Black Falcon - 17th February 2005 Is there actually any new information there though? Mostly seems to be old rumors... X-Box 360? - OB1 - 17th February 2005 The customizing thing, the logo... X-Box 360? - OB1 - 17th February 2005 You know what's funny? 360 degrees = one revolution. And with all of those Nintendo+MS console rumors from the past year or so... Even though I don't believe it myself, there's a pretty decent amount of evidence to convince someone that Nintendo and Microsoft are making a joint console together. They're both using the same hardware partners, we've heard nothing about the Revolution from from anyone but Nintendo (while we've heard tons of developers talk about the PS3 and XB2 [though that's hardly a surprise to Nintendo fans]), and the rumored XB2 name is eerily similar to Nintendo's next system. But I'm 99.9% certain that this isn't the case. For one thing the Revolution is supposed to be very different from today's consoles, and we all know that the XB2 is just going to be an extention, and evolution of the current console model. Though if it's just a matter of a radical controller, they could bundle two different kinds in one box... Nah. It sounds like something NCL would say. On one of their more gay days. Like, really gay. Those are actually valid points...but the whole idea is so far-fetched...no way. I can see your point, and I'm sure others may see it too, but that's pretty out there. Sure would be cool though... X-Box 360? - OB1 - 18th February 2005 Would it? I think that'd be terrible, unless Nintendo were given complete hardware and software control and freedom. If both companies created a joint system and developed all of their exclusives for it, it'd blow Sony clear off the radar. That is, if Microsoft doesn't try to take the whole thing over. Thing is, that's like telling an old woman not to go to church bingo. There's just no stopping them. X-Box 360? - OB1 - 19th February 2005 I'd rather see them side with Sony than Microsoft. In fact I think one single console would be great. X-Box 360? - Great Rumbler - 19th February 2005 Microsoft would be more likely to attempt a hostile takeover of Nintendo than Sony would. X-Box 360? - A Black Falcon - 20th February 2005 True. MS has more money... |
