I started playing the game again, now all of you have to... by royal decree... - Dark Jaguar - 3rd February 2005

I dunno... anyway, I'm playing it again. First thing I did was wage war against the roach army that had taken up residence in my house when I was away. I was there first so their claim to the land is illegitimate! Who cares if I left for like over a year?

Anyway, my second duty involed talking to all the townspeople... They were not amused by my disappearence...

My third duty was to start picking the weeds... The roaches were nothing compaired to this threat. They were too much, so I stopped. As it stands, I never did finish paying off my latest house expansion, so I'm doing that now. Good thing I planted all those fruit trees, the ones with foreign fruit, all that time ago. Nice cash flow.

Anyway, I just stopped playing after finding a ghost wandering around. It wanted me to catch spirits. I did so, and it said it would grant me one of three favors. Well, I picked the most evil one I could, I asked it to pick all the weeds in town. The poor thing scanned the place and was rather dismayed that I could let it get that bad. The ghost said it would take all frickin' night to do it, but a promise was a promise, so it got to work. That's when I saved and quit. Well, tomorrow I get a fresh town that's weed free to start my fun up again, thanks to the tireless work of a being that honestly probably figured it wouldn't have to do such backbreaking work when noncoporeal.

Anyway, I decided to hijack this forum back to whence it originally came. So, let the trading commence, or something...

I'm still looking to complete my arcade/general game room look for my house.

Good idea! Let's trade! What do you want?

I started playing the game again, now all of you have to... by royal decree... - Great Rumbler - 3rd February 2005

It's been a while since I've played Animal Crossing.

I should really play it again, since I did pay $50 for it...

So let's trade, DJ!

*giggles*

Erm

I started playing the game again, now all of you have to... by royal decree... - OB1 - 3rd February 2005

Haha, get it? Because she can't see my posts? So like, I'm the only one here who wants to trade, but she can't see my posts?

...

what it's hilarious

She had very good reason to not want to listen to you anymore...

As for me, DJ obviously doesn't find me as annoying, other than probably when I'm arguing with you. :)

Now DJ is going to think that we're talking about that again, instead of me laughing over this AC trading situation.

Do me a favor and respond to that with "Rice balls?".

Rice balls.

Thanks!

Woo!

I shudder to think of the weeds that have surely overtaken my fair Eden. I'm willing to bet all the weeds came together into one huge weed monster and crushed Tom Nooks store.

...

Or not. Oh well, I'll probably do as DJ did and watch for the ghost sometime and let HIM do all the weed-pickin'!

I started playing the game again, now all of you have to... by royal decree... - OB1 - 3rd February 2005

That would be so cool if that happened.

Or better yet, if a civil war broke out in your town and everyone died. Everyone.... but the mayor. Who is.... SATAN!!!!

Or something.

Sim-style games are only fun for a little while, then they get boring... I can't see myself getting Animal Crossing.

Actually I've been into AC as much as before. I forget why I stopped playing. Here's the key. I would imagine reading any kind of guide for a game like this would ruin it forever. If you leave yourself in the dark on any outside info, then you can constantly be surprised instead of be all like "okay how many days do I have to wait before that event happens?".

Rice balls GR? What did OB1 tell you to say that to get a response from me? :D If so, yay it worked! I'm a puppet!

So anyway, I managed to get around 100000 Bells today. I only have 150000 or so left to pay on my current loan.

Oh, ABF, you have good reason to not get this game anyway, there's a sequel on the way. Honestly, I can't see myself playing this game after the new one comes out. There is one VERY important question though. Can I import my town and character into the new game? This is of utmost importance.

Anyway, Nookington's is in full working order. The weeds did not take sentience and swarm the shop after all :D. I still am hoping, if this isn't the top tier of Nook storitude, that the next upgrade has longer hours. Honestly, every update after the Nook & Go upgrade has been rather annoying if only because that lovely store was open for two hours longer than the other versions.

Anyway, I've found the fruit deal isn't nearly as much of a money making scheme as fossil hunting. There are fossils everywhere, every day, and if I'm willing to wait a day and spend the cash on the letters, I make some serious cash.

I went to Animal Crossing's official web site... Amazing, that site has changed less than my town, that's for sure. They are still offering the same old games. I guess I'll need to find the rest of the NES games on my own. I still really want Ice Climbers (that e-card version is only 1 player...).

Anyway, time to speculate on the future Animal Crossing games. Animal Crossing DS... I think that's higher on my list than AC2. Namely, it would be nice to be able to visit other people's towns in real time, when the other player is in it. This all goes to the coolness of online play thing. If they got that whole online plan thing working, ACDS would be the perfect game to show it off with. I'd love to be able to take a train to some main station (like some major hub with a listing of all the connected DS systems to that hub) where I pick a town to go to. Maybe they could add in major cities or something? Anyway, I just think it would be cool if when you hear a train whistle, you know someone, or multiple people, are arriving in town.

Oh yes, along those lines, they should really make the town a lot bigger, with a lot more places, the standard upgrade stuff :D. Basically, huge town, lots of areas connected to it like a massive lake, a forest, some caves, a town park... a much bigger beach... all this would mean you should be able to unlock some sort of transport :D. Like, at first you go to the local trolly (or whatever) but later you get your own transportation. Oh, add as many new decorations as possible, and mini-games, and special events, and people, and oh yes, here's a big one, much more diverse NPC houses and personalities. That is, multiple stories, duplexes, families, that sort of thing. Oh, wouldn't it be nice if they could actually "read" your letters? You know, in a basic way like certain programs where you "talk" to the computer and it responds? It would just be for letters, but it would be neat. Oh, and phones would be nice. All in all, bigger, better, but still basically a natural landscape that's fairly forested with either still no roads or just one dirt road. That would be cool. :D

I can see most of that coming to pass, but the online thing, the one really cool thing (I want to see Eden or Laser Link's Tendo for myself) that I want, most likely won't happen... Which means, special events involving multiple players wouldn't exist either...

Say rice balls again!

Rice balls!

Well I've created another secondary town exclusively to raid in the night :D, or day, well actually AND day since one definition of "day" means the entire 24 hour period, including night time... But, you know what I mean. This one has a fruit I haven't planted in my home town yet, cherries, so I'm picking every cherry I see to remedy that problem.

I must wonder how Nook doesn't go broke paying much more money than he can possibly be making to me... Then I remember almost all the money he ends up paying me is going rght back to him... Then I realize he just got an item as well as money from me... Then I realize he is a frickin' genius...

I can't look at that site at work because it says that there's pornography.

There's none that I know of. Just pics of people laughing at riced out cars.

What in the world does that mean? *looks at site* Pictures of cars? Huh? Some kind of slang I've never heard, obviously...

Well I paid off my house loan, and got the latest upgrade, to a two story masterpiece. I'll find out tomorrow how much this will cost me.

I started playing the game again, now all of you have to... by royal decree... - Great Rumbler - 5th February 2005

I'm in debt up to my eyeballs!

I started playing the game again, now all of you have to... by royal decree... - Dark Jaguar - 5th February 2005

Okay, nearly a million bells... I can manage that... *cries*

Also, Nook tells me that was the last house upgrade... I must wonder why I should even bother upgrading further, but then I remember there has to be some secret there. Hopefully it won't be some sort of customer appreciation thing where he just says "I appreciate you!" and then I bomb his front door...
