skittles gum - OB1 - 3rd November 2004

My co-worker brought in the trick-or-treat candy that wasn't handed out and among the stuff was skittles gum, which I hadn't heard of before. At first I thought they were regular skittles, but when they turned into gum and weirded me out I was like "Hey! I didn't invite gum into my mouth!". But now I dig the stuff... it's addictive.

I have around thirty little skittles gum pieces in my mouth right now. Rofl

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 3rd November 2004

I've never liked gum...

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 3rd November 2004

I love gum... any gum is addictive to me. I like to chew a whole pack of bubble tape (6 feet of bubble gum for you! Not them!), so by the time I manage to suck all the flavor out of it, my jaw is aching and the gum is taking up practically my entire mouth. I have a big mouth, though, so I can manage to chew a whole assload of gum at once.

That skittles gum looks good... I want to try that stuff. My girlfriend said that they taste pretty much like regular skittles, except you want to swallow them. Hmm... I oughtta look for them at my 7-11 the next time I visit it.

Hey you never replied to that Halloween thread.

skittles gum - Dark Jaguar - 3rd November 2004

I just don't like gum. There's just no fun in eating something if you aren't allowed to swallow it, which I do anyway, because even if it takes 7 years to break down, it's not like your stomach doesn't have a method of disposing of things it can't break down, and not like it doesn't do that all the time to pretty much everything you eat anyway. I do enjoy the fruity flavor of some gum I've tried, but yeesh it's just so bland once you chew the flavor out and fruity snacks like starburst are just far more satisfying. At the very least, my sister doesn't store her old gum on the refrigerator shelf any more... Yeesh...

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 3rd November 2004

Right, if you can't swallow it what's the point? I've never quite gotten why so many people like it...

skittles gum - OB1 - 3rd November 2004

Yeah the taste fades away pretty quickly, but that's why you have to keep on adding more of them. :D

Exactly what I do. :D

Huh...? What exactly should I reply to?

Then I'm left with a wad of gum bigger than my fist. Lol

Then, you can only chew a little bit at a time, while you store the excess gum in your cheeks!

Nummy num...

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 4th November 2004

And you end up looking like John Kruk!

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 4th November 2004

And only having one testicle!

skittles gum - Great Rumbler - 4th November 2004

You know what I haven't had in a long time? Big League Chew.

skittles gum - OB1 - 4th November 2004

Yipes

skittles gum - Great Rumbler - 4th November 2004

What? Big League Chew is good.

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 4th November 2004

I remember that stuff. Sour bubble tape is better, though.

skittles gum - Great Rumbler - 4th November 2004

Yeah, bubble tape is good, but the grape Big League Chew is awesome. It's cool because you can just grab a big wad of tiny gum strips and just chew on 'em for a while.

Great Rumbler Wrote:You know what I haven't had in a long time? Big League Chew.

I didn't see your post, that was a response to beanjo.

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 4th November 2004

You guys know who John Kruk is, right?

Yunno... baseball player for the Phillies back in the day... along with Lenny Dykstra or whoever... and he used to love to chew a shitload of bubble gum instead of tobacco. And he got beaned in the nuts with a baseball, and had to get one removed.

I'm not making this up!

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 4th November 2004

... yeah, that has a lot to do with gum.. Erm

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 4th November 2004

Yeah, I guess even the fact that he chews gum is completely irrelevant!!

You're supposed to be in college, aren't you??

skittles gum - EdenMaster - 4th November 2004

Hmm...not big on gum, really. I prefer a good jawbreaker myself. You get the same effect of it lasting for a long time like gum, but when you're done with it, just *crunch* and it's all over. For the candy or your teeth. Either way, you're not going to have it much longer :D

When I was back in high school, I could buy a box of Everlasting Gobstoppers and make them last all day long. It was great :).

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 4th November 2004

I like Everlasting Gobstoppers, but not most jawbreakers. Those things are annoying... I don't like them just sitting in my mouth. I even get uncomfortable when I see people sucking on jawbreakers (particularly in Ed Edd n Eddy).

Sour Patch Kids are where it's at. Mmmmm-mmm.

Haha, people just keep on pwn'ing ABF!! Rofl

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 5th November 2004

I don't even think the guy deserves to be yelled at half the time he is. But god damn...

skittles gum - OB1 - 6th November 2004

Tell me about it.

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 6th November 2004

Gum is the subject so ASM talks about something barely connected to it and you go after me? Rolleyes

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 6th November 2004

Post by ASM? Where? All I see is my post about John Kruk, and your post (which doesn't include any quotes or name references) saying that it has nothing to do with gum.

skittles gum - Great Rumbler - 7th November 2004

I have to agree with SJ in saying that gum does in fact have everything to do with it. I mean, just look at the guy. He's probably chewing gum in that picture! And you say gum has nothing to do with it...

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 7th November 2004

ASM, SJ, whatever, it just seemed completely irrelevant to the topic even by TC standards... oh well. :)

skittles gum - OB1 - 8th November 2004

Wha? His post was surprisingly on topic.

You're slipping, bubba.

skittles gum - Great Rumbler - 8th November 2004

His chewing gum was totally relevant to the issue at hand.

skittles gum - OB1 - 9th November 2004

Yeah what's the deal, Falcon?

That's what I'm going to call you from now on. Falcon. Or Falcy. Or maybe even Queen Falcopoplis!

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 9th November 2004

No it wasn't...

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 9th November 2004

How so? We're talking about gum and how we like to chew a bunch at once... so how is it irrelevant to bring up a retired baseball athlete who used to love to do the same? It was practically the guy's trademark. That whole "beaned in the nuts" thing was just an interesting tidbit (unless my friend who told me it years ago was bullshitting me, which he did occasionally).

I tried some Skittles gum today when I went to 7-11 to get two fives for my ten dollar bill that the god damned quarter machines wouldn't accept which was frustrating because I've been putting off doing my laundry since last week (see, now THAT'S a digression ;)). The stuff was good, as expected... it was just how everyone has described it to me: they taste just like Skittles (although the actual candy is smaller, so I guess you could say their texture is different), so you feel inclined to swallow them.

skittles gum - OB1 - 9th November 2004

At first, but you quickly learn not to.

Unless your name is Karen.

skittles gum - A Black Falcon - 9th November 2004

But why get the gum when you could get the candy?

skittles gum - Great Rumbler - 9th November 2004

Quote:Unless your name is Karen.

Or Lucious!

skittles gum - OB1 - 9th November 2004

A Black Falcon Wrote:But why get the gum when you could get the candy?

Because it's free.

For me. Well, for another few days.

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 10th November 2004

Because gum lasts longer.

skittles gum - Sacred Jellybean - 10th November 2004

So, wait, if that's true, then what would happen if you just swallowed a whole butt-load of gum (so much that you wouldn't have room for any other food in your stomach)?

Ever passed a Gall Stone? I bet it's probably a lot like that.
