Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - OB1 - 30th January 2003 I bought this game last night and I just wanted to let you all know that it's fan-tastic! It's just like the GC version and the controls are actually quite good. Now I need to convince my stupid friends to buy a copy of this game so that we could have some multiplayer fun... Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - Private Hudson - 31st January 2003 Super Monkey Ball... 2 of the best games on the GCN. Although I still found some camera problems, mostly it was a very..... INFURIATING GAME!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Great multiplayer, chicks dig it. :) Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - OB1 - 1st February 2003 And you can save in between levels in the GBA version, which is quite a relief. Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - Dark Jaguar - 1st February 2003 Well, it is pretty much it's own game. I wouldn't just say different version in such a minor way as to say it's nothing more than a point. I'm sure that the switch of perspective required whole new levels througout with that in mind. I'm sure hte gameplay is the same (in that it's not, sheesh the analog sensitivity was the most important part :D), but I'm also sure it's it's own game. Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - OB1 - 1st February 2003 Actually it's pretty much a straight port of the Gamecube game, just with less polygons and worse textures. Seriously. Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - Dark Jaguar - 1st February 2003 So it's not 2D after all? It's all 3D, done Super FX style with a sprite representing the monkey? Wow, imagine the trouble controlling that monkey, unless you are using buttons to control speed. Super Monkey Ball Jr.! - OB1 - 1st February 2003 Yeah the levels (or platforms) are fully 3-D. But the controls work quite well, actually. If you hold onto B your character will move more slowly to allow more precision, and if you hold A he'll go faster. Let all of the buttons go and it's normal. It's surprisingly effective. |
