Wow, talk about a really fucked-up culture.

However, you and I both know most of them say that because not saying it would earn them a nice, steaming plate of death or imprisonment. I bet that in reality very few of them would object to an American-style liberation from their slavemasters.

What's even worse is how some liberal college professors in our own country are known to publicly say the same things.

More North Korean horseshit. - geoboy - 29th February 2004

Wow. Maybe they should read George Orwell's "1984" instead of the "Diary of Anne Frank". I think North Koreans would be able relate to it a lot better.

How about Tianmen sqaure masacre like we are learning?
How evil Comunist were some how so threaten by hordes of college students who protested their corruption and hypocracy in regards to equality as the communist leaders were behaving like gentry giving their sons fancy sports cars while the rest of the country thought it was stylish to have a washing machine. But were later murderd by the people they thought would protect them the "PLA" and had their corpses scorched to ash to hide their crime.

Which is why China should not host the upcoming olympics as they will just use it for propagonda like Hitler did in the Berlin games.I hope that my country pulls out of 2008 games as we wont take part in satans poster games.

Honnestly We should go to North Korea next and finnish what we started in the 1950's.We had better do it before they can launch weapons to North america. If it waisnt for the U.S DMZ they would probaily have begun a campaign to conquere the south and even Japan.

now I know why Bush is pushing for a Missle defense.

More North Korean horseshit. - A Black Falcon - 1st March 2004

I've explained plenty of times why war with North Korea would be one of the stupidest things we could ever possibly do and would lead to hundreds of thousands if not millions (if they have nukes...) of innocent (mostly South Korean and maybe Japanese) lives... their country might be in shambles but they have a large army and spend everything they have to keep it able to fight.

I just dob't see a good solution in North Korea. The people are horrifically opressed. Massive numbers starve, chronically. Many more are sent to prison labor camps for not much of an offense and die quickly because of how horrible their prison camps are.
But because of that army we can't do much of anything about it... sanctions? We are trying but obviously it's only successful as far as China agrees to it and they only agree in a limited fashion... and we need to send lots of food. But we also know that they'll send a lot of that food to the army and not to the starving people, which is just even more depressing... it's really a horrible situation. But as I said I just don't see any solution. All we can do is negociate and try to convince them to give up their weapons... we have to be cautious because after '94 they immediately broke their word and started on some more nuclear program work but we have to do more than Bush is. We have to offer conrecte options for their government because they'll never give up nuclear development without real returns from us, for obvious reasons...

More North Korean horseshit. - Great Rumbler - 1st March 2004

I say just bomb Kim Jong Ill's palace and then let the people work things out. Although that probably wouldn't help anything, but you never know.

More North Korean horseshit. - alien space marine - 1st March 2004

From that Article its pretty clear that Kim Pingyong is intent on making war with the U.S ,If generations of North korean kids are raised to believe that they are starving and dieing because of the U.S and not their own selfish evil goverment that hordes everything for itself. If They believe that the U.S is like Nazi germany we may have trouble on our hands.

I dont think we should give any foreign aid as it will most definently not go too North korean chronicaly starved children and will go as we have seen too the fat bastards soldiers and troops and of course his elite political body.

We have to accept that we can do nothing for the sick poor people suffering because of the communist or shall we say Imperial scum govenoring the country, Those Children will be victims but we cannot give their opressors fueil to survive , Perhaps by cutting them off they may crack and will be more open to negotiating and peace.

The Reason N Korea wants nukes to have a sheild agaist the U.S and there is no way they will let that opportunity go by.They have Nukes by now and they will probaily begin to break more rules like possible military campaigns and selling these weapons at the highest bitter to Osama Bin ladin and Al'Qeada to attack the U.S not to mention starting a another cold war.

A war with North Korea will probaily be an actual bloody war not seen since Vietnam ,It would be a actual opponent capable of damage unlike Iraq.
But some day we may have no choice but to fight them again .

More North Korean horseshit. - Darunia - 1st March 2004

I'd hasten it. We need a president who's not afraid to show the Koreans that we're not afraid of them. We can't back down to them, they need to be put into place...all of this pointing at us accusatively. Assholes like King Jung might just give communism a bad name!

2. end saunctions with cuba and forgive castro.

More North Korean horseshit. - Weltall - 1st March 2004

I think war is inevitable. I personally think it should happen before they have the capacity to launch a real nuclear attack (Thank you, Slick Willy). It will be a huge mess, though.

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to choke off the country as completely as possible, starve them all.

On a childish, fantastical note, it'd be nice to go back in time and kill Marx and Engels before they published the Manifesto. Whatever their intent was, what they accomplished was majorly fucking a lot of things up very badly.

More North Korean horseshit. - geoboy - 1st March 2004

Hey now. It's one thing to theororize communism on paper and another to strictly enforce it, even after it has been proven to be a socialistic failure.

More North Korean horseshit. - Weltall - 1st March 2004

Maybe so, but if no one created it, no one would enforce it.

More North Korean horseshit. - geoboy - 1st March 2004

Well I guess we should go kill Einstein too for coming up with the theories that ultimately contributed to the atomic bomb. Rolleyes

More North Korean horseshit. - Dark Jaguar - 1st March 2004

Yeah, and of course our computers wouldn't exist if not for the realizations of the truth of his general relativity. Quantum physics are doing even more for us, since they, unlike general, also describe the world of the small.

Okay Weltall, I'll just add that I agree a lot about communism. No matter what some people here might say, such a system could never ever work unless human nature itself changed, and it won't just because we think we're "enlightened". I'll still say that that fellow shouldn't be punished for his views. At the time I'm sure he never imagined how wrong the system could go, and he never went about enforcing his views, just writing them down as free speech grants. The whole concept with the results that have been shown time and again resulting in evil mean communism itself is evil, but the original idea man likely wasn't, so don't hold him up in contempt. No, I'm not sympathizing, his ideas were dead wrong in the end. It's just that he never went about actualizing his ideas. Had he, I'd have a problem with him of course.

More North Korean horseshit. - Weltall - 1st March 2004

All that is true, but still...

I mean, we could instead go back in time and gouge out his eyeballs and cut off his fingers?

No about Einstein. Although his notions contributed to nuclear weapons, many good things, like space travel and energy, came from it as well.

Communism didn't do a single thing worth keeping.

And when did we all miss the childish, fantastical part of a completely implausible hypothetical scenario? :D

More North Korean horseshit. - Weltall - 1st March 2004

Or, if it makes you feel any better, we could instead go back and kill Lenin and the head Bolsheviks, since they really got the ball rolling for communism, with the added bonus of being murderous, terrorist thugs.

More North Korean horseshit. - Geno - 2nd March 2004

Isn't Einstein already dead?

Anyway... that's some f*cked up stuff. I know every country promotes some form of propaganda to make the people dislike rival countries, but this is going too far. Bush worse than Hitler? Americans worse than fascists? I'm not a big fan of Bush, but to even compare him to Hitler, let alone say that he's worse than Hitler, is pure ignorance. And last I checked, the "American Nazis" were among those who fought Hitler and freed those oppressed by Hitler's Nazi party. It disgusts me that anyone could use one of the best things America's done for the world to brainwash a bunch of kids into thinking that America is evil.

War with North Korea probably is inevitable. It will be absolute hell, but America's known hell several times. Still, never has it known a nuclear threat of this magnitude... not since the Cold War, at least. When and if war between the United States and North Korea breaks out, however, nuclear weapons may very well be used by both sides. Let's just hope that an alternative route can be found before then, even if the two countries go to war.

More North Korean horseshit. - Weltall - 2nd March 2004

It will be hell for South Korea, that's for sure. But one thing to keep in mind is that even with their large army, they have supply issues, and we would of course enjoy near-total air superiority.

More North Korean horseshit. - alien space marine - 2nd March 2004

North Korea has the 2nd largest army in the world,All their countries resources go into making weapons of war and funding their army. I cannot blaim the N korea men who join the army since its the only way to get food.
King Yong is a fanatic and meglomaniac who believes he is god and so does alot of the population, He would use savage tactics and even weapons of mass destruction to stay alive.

Of course the U.S would be crazy to go alone as it isnt Iraq were half the army diserted those Koreans would fight to the death. You would need a coalition and atleast half a million troops through Nato. But I am sure unlike the 2nd persian golf war Canada will join in as North Korea is a threat to north american peace. The bad thing that could happen is China coming to the aid of North korea which is what happend last time if it waisnt for those bitches Korea would have been united as one country and we wouldnt have this problem today.

More North Korean horseshit. - Geno - 2nd March 2004

China makes foreign affairs in Asia nigh impossible. We have to be very careful with them because they could very easily start World War III if they wanted to. What's more, they're probably crazy enough to use WMD even if there's no immediate threat.

More North Korean horseshit. - alien space marine - 2nd March 2004

If china did they would lose all economic gains from the U.S,I think they would stay out of it in all likelyness if there was a war.But they are a crazy bunch so watch out.

More North Korean horseshit. - Fittisize - 2nd March 2004

Sure....Hitler may have been worse than Bush, but did Bush write a 600+ page book with some pretty deep and intellectual shit in? Huh? Did he?? (I'm just sayin' this because I'm pretty wrapped up in Mein Kampf right now)

War with North Korea...hm, I wonder what that would be like?

More North Korean horseshit. - Weltall - 2nd March 2004

Mein Kampf isn't as much deep and intellectual as it is madness and self-absorption in print form.

ASM is right, China would be very hesistant to start a war with us. For one, they know that they would eventually lose it. Second, their economy would collapse in a heartbeat. They may still be run by Marxist thugs, but in some ways they are growing up. China would probably not risk it's burgeoning trade with America for the sake of a tinpot little madman and his banana republic.

More North Korean horseshit. - Dark Jaguar - 3rd March 2004

You know, Japan wasn't really enslaved as far as I understand it so much as a nation fully willing to go to war with us for whatever reason. I'm fairly sure they used little more than lying propaganda to get their soldiers to fight rather than fear. I'm not sure I'd say we freed them from anything other than foolish roolers, rather than oppressive rulers. Ya know, from what I've heard it's only recently that schools in Japan will go about open discussion of WW2.

Ah China, beautiful country with millenia of history behind it, now horribly run by oppressive jerks.

More North Korean horseshit. - OB1 - 3rd March 2004

Well it's not as bad as CNN and movies make it out to be. Yes everyone's freedoms are limited and there is a very large gap between the lower class and the upper class despite China's promise to remove all social classes, but it's not as bad as most of us think it is. It is bad, but not that bad. I know a few people living there right now, Americans and native Chinese, and overall they enjoy their lives there. It's not North Korean bad is what I'm saying. Certainly not as free as Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or South Korea, though.

More North Korean horseshit. - A Black Falcon - 3rd March 2004

Quote:such a system could never ever work unless human nature itself changed,

That is exactly my opinion about communism.

Well first, remember -- No country has actually tried Marxian communism. Oh countries have been "communist" but none of them got past the first 'destroy the government' phase and quickly became dictatorships. No nation has ever been truly communist. And none probably will be (at least with this society) because Marx had some flaws in this theories...

For instance one of the biggest is the idea that it would spread. Marx, in the 1840s (remembering it in its historical perspective is key), thought that since workers were being so opressed (remember Marxian communism would have been for a industrial capitialistic society, not a peasant farmer one like most of the nations that actually went communist) and getting nothing from their government they should unite and ally with the proletariat (worker class) of the world, not the bourgeoisie (merchants, royalty, etc). He thought that nationalism and patriotism would be stupid ideals for workers because the governments give them nothing. All workers would unite against the bourgeoisie and create a state that in the end would be classless and with no government... and of course he was dead wrong. Nationalism won out bigtime, not international fellowship between workers.

When you look at communism you see a philosophy that just does not work. As we saw in Russia it rotted away from the inside... it isn't an especially realistic belief.

But of course Cuba, China, Vietnam, and North Korea aren't communist. They are dictatorships plain and simple, except with a few communist trappings to delude some of the people.

Oh, and increasing use of capitalism, especially in China. Shows how well Communism works...

Socialism of course works (at least on a small scale) but communism and socialism split way back and are very different philosophies.

And as for North Korea... as I said it's all fine for people like Weltall or ASM to say 'we should attack Korea now'. You aren't threatened by the Koreans after all. But the people in Japan and South Korea? They are desperately trying to avoid a war that they know could and probably would kill millions of their citizens (Japan if NK isn't lying about nukes...). Acting only in our own intrests isn't just shortsighted in this case it's sheer idiocy. Even W. knows we cannot attack North Korea.

China? Despite their abysmal human rights record the course we are taking is the only real one we can. In a perfect world we'd drop the Most Favored Nation treaty with them and say 'we will give it back if you greatly improve your human rights and workplace safety both in laws and in act' but that is impossible because they provide too much cheap junkt for our lawmakers to grow the spines they'd need to do something that could hurt our economy as badly as that would...

War with China? Huh? Why? I see no point. We never would and they wouldn't either... both sides know they need the other...

Oh and as for Japan... Japan from ~1850 to 1945 is an interesting case. I could write a quite lengthy post about it (given how I am in a History of Japan from the 1850s to the present class this semester...), if anyone wants... :) But in short from the beginning the Japanese were essentially brainwashed to believe that the Emperor is a god and that they need to be strong and the only way to be strong and equal to the west is to make a empire. Anything less and they'd get subjuagated... so they over a period of years indoctrinated their people. Given the extremely top-down order of Japanese society once those militarists and industrialists took power it was easy to get the people into line... oh sure there were some more liberal periods but the militarists were never far from power and popular support for military action was very strong whenever they saw any 'threats to their empire/prestige/etc'. Especially with a militarist emperor like Hirohito, but the Japanese Military didn't need much help...

Oh and supressing any mention of any of the atrocities that the Japanese troops committed from the Japanese people was also a matter of course. Stuff like the Rape of Nanking didn't get exposed to the Japanese public until the war was over...

More North Korean horseshit. - alien space marine - 3rd March 2004

I think it would be better for North korea to just collaspe on its own , But North Korea is pretty determined to start a war and is brain washing its children that they have to be ready to fight the U.S , North Korea is a threat because it will have no problems with selling Nukes to Al qeada for cash as benifits them both economically and nationally.NK could start another Cold war.

Going to war with North Korea is not just fantasy it is a definent possibility.

More North Korean horseshit. - Geno - 4th March 2004

I definitely don't see war with China happening, of course. I was just saying that, if they wanted to, they could start World War III, though of course they don't want to. Likewise, the US could start WWIII as well, but I doubt our government's that stupid either. I'm just saying we should be careful with China, and we are... they're being careful with us too, which is smart of them. Neither country wants to go to war with the other because not only will all hell break loose, but we also depend on each other. All hail plastic Chinese junk!

More North Korean horseshit. - Darunia - 4th March 2004

I almost hope that we do go to war with North Korea, ending the last great threat to humanity (sans China). I might even sign up for that venture. Need to teach those bastards (i.e. Qui-Jung II there) a lesson on how politics and foreign policy goes.

More North Korean horseshit. - alien space marine - 4th March 2004

We would have to sabotage their nuclear programs before we attack them directly.

I hope we blast those bitches too!

More North Korean horseshit. - Geno - 4th March 2004

Nah, let's just hope that their government gets blown to kingdom come. The people deserve to live and see that the things their government told them were lies. A newer, more efficient government should then be instituted so that they can live their lives peacefully, without having to fear and hate the alleged American Nazis.
