Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - OB1 - 4th December 2003

It's on right now and I'm cringing with every passing moment. So many wrong choices, and they're trying so hard to be funny! This is beyond terrible.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Dark Jaguar - 4th December 2003

Wow, you're watching it? I'm sorry...

Well, I myself never watch that channel, unless I happen to flip by and see an episode of Star Trek I particularly liked.

:(

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - EdenMaster - 4th December 2003

Pfft.

Soul Calibur II deserved Best Fighter more than WWE by an unpeakable margin, and I don't care that it won most addictive.

A Madden game winning Game of the Year.

I think I'll go vomit now.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - A Black Falcon - 4th December 2003

Hmm... uh, let's see, did they choose ANYTHING correctly?

Uh... maybe Soul Calibur for addictive and FFXI for online... and maybe Halo 2 for anticipated. But all the others are way off. As I'd expect...

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - OB1 - 4th December 2003

And Splinter Cell as the best handheld gaming? Where's Advance Wars 2, Fire Emblem, FFTA??

But to be fair, Spike didn't choose the winners. They just chose the crappy nominees. The public voted.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - A Black Falcon - 4th December 2003

Uh, OB1, when you get three categories right from a list that long... if I wanted to I could complain quite a lot about it. It's just pointless. I mean, did anyone expect a decent awards show from some dumb TV channel?

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Dark Jaguar - 4th December 2003

They should take SpikeTV and set it in a big bon fire and REJOICE in it's never existing... forever!

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - A Black Falcon - 4th December 2003

Nah... they have lots of Star Trek!

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - alien space marine - 5th December 2003

Spike Tv is shit, While having TNG is good, But I already have a even superior sci fi channel which shows all the startreks series.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - A Black Falcon - 5th December 2003

Huh? Sci Fi Channel doesn't have any Trek other than the original one...

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - alien space marine - 5th December 2003

I am reffering to the canadian Space channel which has all sci fi and fantasy shows.

They run TOS,TNG,DS9,Voy,Ent every single series on week days.

They also have some exclusive shows like Phi factor and Outer limits.

Finally they also air Stargate SG1 :)

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - A Black Falcon - 5th December 2003

That's cool... DS9 and Voyager aren't in syndication (airing daily) in lots of markets... though I think Spike is going to start airing DS9 soon and then Voyager sometime after that, along with TNG. :)

And Scifi has classic Trek and new Stargate SG-1 eps while the first 5 seasons of SG-1 are also syndicated. Outer Limits... I've seen it, it's syndicated. Okay show, but REALLY strange...

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Undertow - 5th December 2003

SpikeTV has the Most Extreme Ellimination Challege!

<3 <3 <3

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Great Rumbler - 5th December 2003

That's about the only show I watched on SpikeTV.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - OB1 - 5th December 2003

Originally known as Takeshi's Castle, as in Takeshi Kitano (one of the hosts), the famous Japanese director and actor (he's in the new Zatoichi flick which he also directed... the picture I have on my SP).

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Great Rumbler - 5th December 2003

That show is crazy.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - OB1 - 5th December 2003

Yeah, although all of the voice over stuff isn't an actual translation of what they're actually saying, which I'm sure you noticed.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Great Rumbler - 5th December 2003

Yeah, I noticed that. It's still pretty funny, though.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - alien space marine - 6th December 2003

To bad I dont get sci fi as they are the only ones to have stargate SG1 season 7.

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - A Black Falcon - 6th December 2003

Yeah, it is annoying that once they got it with season 6 they seem to have stopped putting the previous season in syndication... they're replaying season 5 again now. :(

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Great Rumbler - 6th December 2003

The Sci Fi Channel has stopped showing Mystery Science Theater!! NOOOOOO!!

Spike TV's stupid Video Game Awards show - Dark Jaguar - 6th December 2003

NOOOO! *Old lady burns to death in small barn*

In the wake of the tragedy the town built a new grandma; stronger, with a steal frame and a sprinkler system!
