New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - A Black Falcon - 12th November 2003 http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.cfm?action=item&id=4850' Quote:Nintendo plans to ring in the new year with three of the video game industry's most popular franchises: Pokémon, Metroid and Final Fantasy. Nintendo GameCube™ and Game Boy® Advance enthusiasts are sure to start off 2004 with a bang. Very interesting... especially the Metroid part. So its a sequel set immediately after... huh. Oh, and they completely fail to clear up the Stadium confusion. Which leads me to believe that that RPG part isn't as big as implied in some places... New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - Dark Jaguar - 13th November 2003 Ya know, I had always assumed Samus just left Zebes right after the whole "total destruction of Torian" incident there. Interesting to see she actually stuck around for a bit afterwards for a WHOLE GAME'S WORTH of time. That makes TWO games squeezed in between M1 and M2. Pokémon, now 20 hours in an RPG would make that shorter than most, the average being 40 hours long (or for me, over 99:59, since the clock stops there and I'm still not done doing what I do in RPGs, everything :D), but it's still a decent enough length to be a full game. Jirachi is interesting, but what's the limitations on this character's wish granting abilities? Certainly Nintendo wouldn't let ANY wish granting thing be more powerful than the Triforce. New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - The Former DMiller - 13th November 2003 20 hours sounds more reasonable, but knowing game companies that probably means 10-15 hours. The game should be out in Japan soon (if it isn't out already) so I guess we might hear more based on import reviews. New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - A Black Falcon - 13th November 2003 Yeah, they always overestimate... 20 probably does mean less for most people. But they don't say how deep or anything that mode is... okay, its not as long as most RPGs, but lots of games are that short with story depth and stuff... what about this one? :) And Metroid... well they have to fit it in somewhere, and unlike Mario they have continuity and unlike Zelda there's just one Samus... yes, its getting crowded, and the number of times the Metroids have come back is kind of silly... but what should they do, just abandon the series? I don't think so... New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - OB1 - 13th November 2003 According to IGN, Metroid Zero Mission is pretty much just a remake of Metroid 1. Quote:Based loosely on the original NES maps, Metroid: Zero Mission includes all of the weapons and environments from the original game, and also provides a totally new experience for the series' many fans by adding new enhancements and delving deeper into aspects of the story that haven't been told. That makes more sense seeing as how there are a lot of the same bosses and locations from Metroid 1. PGC probably made a mistake. February 9, woo! I can't wait! New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - Great Rumbler - 13th November 2003 They should have brought these games out THIS year!! New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - OB1 - 13th November 2003 Well I'm glad that Zero Mission isn't coming out this year since there are around ten billion great GBA games coming out this holiday season. New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - Great Rumbler - 13th November 2003 Yeah, but the GC could have used those two games. New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - OB1 - 13th November 2003 ... yeah. New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - OB1 - 13th November 2003 Metroid box art! I love the very anime-like style that they're using for this game. ![]() New Poke Stadium/Metroid Info - Great Rumbler - 13th November 2003 Cool box-art.
