I bet it's sort of a scripted play and how well he does depends on how well you play the beat. I sure hope Cranky is still his old grumpy self. It would seem from the pics that Cranky is just as curious as DK is about that barrel. I hope he ends up yelling at DK and hitting him about the head and neck with his cane, like any decrepit old fart would. Though the music would obviously be replaced with American stuff... not many Americans would rather have the music selection from the Japanese version.
