NintendAOL - OB1 - 10th September 2003 What the--? From McIGN: Quote:September 10, 2003 - Nintendo of America today told IGNcube that it has reached an agreement with America Online by which the Internet provider will become the official preferred ISP for GameCube. Oh now that's just great. I know it says "preferred" ISP, but it could very well mean that you'll need an AOL account to play future online Nintendo games. But not even Nintendo is that stupid, right?? .... Right???! NintendAOL - Dark Jaguar - 10th September 2003 Yeah I read that. No, Nintendo of JAPAN wouldn't be that stupid. However, this is something Nintendo of America is doing... Fortunatly, since this is only on the US end, this means most games designed in Japan for online play will actually have the option of using other providers, just adding in AOL support when it's released here. NintendAOL - Laser Link - 10th September 2003 I would hate Nintendo if they made you use AOL to play online. NintendAOL - Great Rumbler - 10th September 2003 Quote: including the possibility of bundling AOL demo discs with the GameCube. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! NintendAOL - Dark Jaguar - 10th September 2003 At least it would only be in America... Wait, I live there! Noooo! NintendAOL - A Black Falcon - 10th September 2003 YES! AOL! Everyone's favorite IP and everyone's favorite game company together at last... :chainsaw: |
