Countdown to the new Zelda! - Laser Link - 28th December 2004

New Zelda game... Perhaps THAT can pull me away from World of Warcrack. Nothing else can.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 28th December 2004

I'm riding a videogame high right now. Half-Life 2, Baten Kaitos, Harvest Moon GC, Pikmin 2, La Pucelle Tactics, Burnout 3, and I still have yet to start playing MGS3. Why can't there be more hours in the day?

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 28th December 2004

14 days!!

I think!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 28th December 2004

You could be right! *14 days = 2 weeks*

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 28th December 2004

Wow, and just a week ago, it was three weeks away! Time really flies!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 28th December 2004

I know! And one week later, it'll only be one week away!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 28th December 2004

And in another week it'll be out!!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 28th December 2004

Yay!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 29th December 2004

And a week after that, it'll have been out for an entire week! Awesome!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 29th December 2004

And then in three years we'll be talking about how awesome the game was in a nostalgic way!

13 days!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 29th December 2004

Quote:And then in three years we'll be talking about how awesome the game was in a nostalgic way!

I can hardly wait!

1108 days!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - lazyfatbum - 29th December 2004

And 6 years from now we'll be playing Resident Evil Racing on the Electronic Arts Trapazoid while wearing EA clothes and eating EA snacks and listening to our Quantum Brain Radios about how Virgin Galactic has merged with EA to become Skynett!

Skynett will integrate with the EA Trapazoid! It will tell us when to sleep, when to eat and when to play video games! Then, at 2300 hours on the date of March 17th 2015 Skynett will become self aware and force all of humanity to watch Troy! Millions will perish, few will win! Shoes will replace toilets! Steven Spielberg's floating head will be the mascot for the REAL Jurassic Park in Idaho! THEY WILL HAVE A TRICERATOPS NAMED YOSHI and dozens of Nintendo fans will bitch and moan that the T-Rex should have been named Yoshi! and the EA World News Hub will LAUGH and JOKE and say "NO ONE REMEMBERS NINTENDO and NO ONE CARES"

And we wont care... it's the year 2087, we'll be playing Brad Pitt's newest game The Making of Troy and Why it's really good you just dont understand movies on the EA Brain Fuck Machine. And as we approach level 7, the Producer Fellatio, our mind will drift ever so slightly as to not piss off Skynett and we'll remember this day... how we all waited for Resident Evil 4 so many years ago at a time when EA was simply the world's largest publisher...before they became the world's largest publisher... of DEATH!

*Jerry Goldsmith's original soundtrack to the Planet of the Apes in reverse with the image of the virgin mary stabbing baby Jesus*

THE END IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 29th December 2004

And as the smoke drifts up from the charred ruins of the Earth, Hiroshi Yamauchi's face is super-imposed against the sky while the song "Don't You Forget About Me" plays in the background.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 29th December 2004

Are you sure we'll even care what's going on in 2087? Most of us will be dead, and those who aren't will be over 100... except for ASM, who will have hit puberty.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - lazyfatbum - 29th December 2004

Of course we'll be alive in 2087! EA and Skynett would have created extremely strange and particular games for demographics of only 3 or 4 people in the WORLD. Then it will make sure those 3 or 4 people never DIE! The fountain of youth... for a price. You see, the plan will be simple; Everytime a person finds themselves wanting or desiring or certain genre of video game, EA will give them eternal life... if they keep buying that genre of game!

Soon, MMORPGFPS and RTSRSP's will be common place. We'll see Laundry games! and Making Coffee games! a video game where you WALK your DOG! Believe me... it's coming.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Dark Jaguar - 29th December 2004

That last one... Tamagotchi...

Hahaha, that seriously made me crack up after reading lazy's post. The Breakfast Club is great. Someone needs to make something like that.

*looks at lazy*

Quote:Someone needs to make something like that.

Well, I've always wanted to try my hand at movie-making. It must be done!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 29th December 2004

Do it!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 29th December 2004

I will!

...

...

So...do you how it is that people make movies?

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 29th December 2004

...

cameras!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 30th December 2004

Ahhh yes, The Breakfast Club. I can't wait until I'm old enough to feel ways about things.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 30th December 2004

I thought that way about things when I was five. That's how poweful that song is.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 30th December 2004

12 DAYS!!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 30th December 2004

Quote:cameras!

Right!

...

...

So...like what kind of cameras? I've got a few disposable cameras...

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 31st December 2004

I should have a digital camera... somewhere... oh, here's the memory chip... but I don't know where the camera is.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Dark Jaguar - 31st December 2004

The breakfast club? You mean like, Tony the tiger and the Trix rabbit?

Tony: You know what my dad got me for Christmas? A carton of ciggerettes! He said "Smoke up Tony, they're great!"... bastard....

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 31st December 2004

Yeah, them.

(Now merging a quote from Futurama's "Luck of the Fry-rish" with a skit from Family Guy's "Let's Go to the Hop." And ironically, those are the two episodes that played the song Don't You Forget About Me, as discussed in another thread.)

Countdown to the new Zelda! - lazyfatbum - 31st December 2004

GR/ To make a movie all you need is fellatio. Lots and lots of fellatio.

And 65 million dollars.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 31st December 2004

11 days!!

Quote:GR/ To make a movie all you need is fellatio. Lots and lots of fellatio.

Well, I don't have 65 million dollars and...uhh...yeah, I guess I won't be making any movies.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - lazyfatbum - 1st January 2005

If you have any questions about film making make a thread in Ramble and i'll answer your questions as best I can. But I just woke up and i have a hang over so happy new year wooooo!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 1st January 2005

But... but that would be staying on-topic.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 1st January 2005

How many days are we at now?

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 1st January 2005

10? Or something.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 2nd January 2005

9 DAYS!!!!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 2nd January 2005

Woo! Nine Days!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 2nd January 2005

Hooray for 9! The number eaten by 7!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 2nd January 2005

6 is afraid of 7 because 7 8 9! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! *Dexter's Laboratory is awesome*

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 2nd January 2005

It so is. I wish they'd hurry up and release season dvd sets already.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 2nd January 2005

I wonder why they haven't yet?

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 2nd January 2005

Because they suck.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 3rd January 2005

Heh heh, I like the way he says luh-BOR-a-tor-ee instead of LAB-ra-tor-ee. Dexter's Lab ruled, that is until it was cancelled and then brought back with a crappier style of animation. But before that, it was awesome. There are so many shows that need to be released on DVD now. I'd like to see a Cow and Chicken/I Am Weasel collection myself.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 3rd January 2005

Cow and Chicken was such a weird show, I still watched it all the time of course. And Johnny Bravo was a great show as well.

Johnny Bravo: *steals the alien's glass helmet and puts it on* Hey! Look at me! I'm a kooky spaceman! Set phazers on wiggy!

Countdown to the new Zelda! - OB1 - 3rd January 2005

The newer Dexter animation blew away the older stuff. The episodes just weren't quite as good.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 3rd January 2005

I liked Johnny Bravo until it started to use the same formula of Johnny meets girl, Johnny tries to seduce girl, girl kicks Johnny's ass. Still, the first season at least was hilarious. Courage the Cowardly Dog's formula went stale a little faster, though it, too, had its moments.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Great Rumbler - 3rd January 2005

They need to release Freakazoid on DVD too.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 3rd January 2005

Freakazoid, Taz-Mania, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain... pretty much all Warner Bros. cartoons from the early 90's.

Countdown to the new Zelda! - A Black Falcon - 3rd January 2005

Dexter's Laboratory was good...

Countdown to the new Zelda! - Geno - 3rd January 2005

Indeed.
