I don't make toast (I prefer bread uncooked. And with nothing on it. Oh, and not sliced stuff -- I vastly prefer the kinds you get in the supermaket that come in whole loaves...)... but the toaster oven is handy for making things like heating up pizza, or keeping pancakes warm, or other things like that...

OB1 Wrote:Well in that case, toaster ovens are fine. Unless you plan on making something larger than a grilled cheese sandwich.

Depends on the size. I have a big one, I can cook half of a frozen pizza in it.

Happy birfday EM! - OB1 - 9th June 2004

Why don't you just make a bread pizza then? Just take half of a bun, put tomato sauce and all of the cheeses and stuff and then stick the thing in the toaster oven. Takes about as long as it does to make a sandwich.

Happy birfday EM! - Weltall - 9th June 2004

Because it is quicker to break a frozen pizza in half.

Happy birfday EM! - alien space marine - 9th June 2004

All we need is a toaster that can send emails and do your taxes.

How many accidental fires have been started by toasters? I tried to make Kraft dinner with my toaster , I just added water and it exploided into pieces!
:crap:

Happy birfday EM! - Geno - 9th June 2004

You put water... in your toaster? Were you, by chance, making your Kraft dinner while in the car on the way to see Shrek 2? :D

I use the toaster oven for bagel bites and pizza rolls, the oven for mini pizzas and large pizzas when the whole family is eating, the microwave for hot pockets and Lunchables, the stove for eggs, and the toaster for toast, Pop Tarts, and Toaster Streudels. So... yeah, I pretty much use all the kitchen utensils as needed.

Happy birfday EM! - A Black Falcon - 9th June 2004

We only have a toaster oven, not a normal toaster...

I learned Drunk cooking was dangerous.

Five seconds for a crappy frozen pizza versus five minutes for a great bread pizza. If time is all that you care about then the frozen pizza is the way to go, I suppose...

Happy birfday EM! - Weltall - 10th June 2004

Two things:

1. I could easily fuck up a bread pizza. I am good at many things, making non-prepared foods is not one of them. I'm ashamed at how long mastering the art of frying eggs over easy took me.
2. Yes, time is often a prime consideration.

Happy birfday EM! - Geno - 11th June 2004

Dijourno (I know I misspelled that) frozen pizzas rule. Especially the cheese-stuffed crust ones. I don't need to be a chef when frozen foods are good enough for me.

Ah, well in that case I understand.

Happy birfday EM! - alien space marine - 11th June 2004

It only takes me 3 minutes to cook a frozen pizza in my oven. I have to put it on maximum burn. Make sure I get to it before it turns into charcoal!

Happy birfday EM! - EdenMaster - 12th June 2004

*takes a slice of pizza*

Hehe, I think in my absence, you guys have forgotten the true meaning of this thread. I've reached the pinnacle of human age, I am 21 now.

Why have I not been here? I've been in Las Vegas since last Saturday! I'll tell you guys all about it, but I just got home not too long ago and I'm still a bit bleary eyed from my flight. However I think it goes without saying that I had a blast!

Ta!

Did John Travolta fly the plane?Did he do a little dance?

What hotel did you stay at?

A nice fancy one shaped like a pyramid or somthing or some crappy 30 bucks a night Motel.

Happy birfday EM! - EdenMaster - 12th June 2004

No I didn't stay at the Luxor (That's the Pyramid), I stayed at the Orleans. Not directly on the Strip but a very nice place with a loose casino, many restaurants, and big rooms. Only about a 10-minute car ride from all the big stuff to see.

We went to see the Blue Man Group too. They were...unique. Very difficult to describe, but good. We wanted to see Penn & Teller, but they were sold out all week.

Happy birfday EM! - alien space marine - 12th June 2004

Fucking Montikar ruined the Segfried and Roy show.

Did you hire a prostitute? If so did she have a penis?

Happy birfday EM! - Geno - 12th June 2004

One time, I attempted making my own custom pizza. However, we were out of bread, so I used a Ritz cracker instead. And we didn't have the same tomato sauce they use on pizza, so I used ketchup. And we didn't have anymore sliced cheese either, so I had to use EZ Cheese. And we also ran out of that mini pepperoni we used to have (I can't help it if I ate it raw like any other snack) so I cut up pieces of ham and put it on there. I then put it in the microwave and ate it. It was... an interesting experiment. Not exactly a tasty one, but interesting. I stuck with frozen pizzas from then on out.

Oh, and happy birthday, EM. (Again.) Vegas, eh? I'll have to wait another three years before I become 21... can you wait for me there until I catch up with your age? What do you mean you won't? Jerk!

Happy birfday EM! - Fittisize - 12th June 2004

I turn 18 in two years and a few days...would I be old enough to go to Vegas and gamble there, because I'm legal age in Alberta?

Happy birfday EM! - EdenMaster - 12th June 2004

Sorry Fittsy, but you need to be 21 to gamble in Vegas. Trust me, they check too, anytime you try to gamble they're right there to ask for I.D.

Thanks Geno. Yes, I would recommend Vegas, even if you don't gamble, you'll have no shortage of stuff to do.

Happy birfday EM! - alien space marine - 12th June 2004

In Singapore its easier to get a prostitute then a pack of bubble gum.

It was a accident, When I pressed enter it sent it to early, I pressed the stop button and just continued on with the message not realizing another one was sent earlier.

If I could delete my own posts it might help..

Well that's because you can only get gum from a pharmacy.
