E3: The DS game thread - OB1 - 13th May 2004 IGN has two interviews with Miyamoto and co. up, where they talk about the DS and Zelda. In the DS interview Mario Kart director Hideki Konno says that he's making Metroid Prime Hunters, so EAD is actually creating the game! WOO!! Though it's still strange that Retro didn't know about it. E3: The DS game thread - Dark Jaguar - 13th May 2004 MY rumor that it wouldn't work with GB or GBC games?! I never said that! You said that to ME and convinced me of it! E3: The DS game thread - A Black Falcon - 13th May 2004 A GBC is also useful for Bionic Commando if you have one of the buggy copies that works correctly in a GBC but not in a GBA, like mine. :) And DJ, um, weren't you the one who said that rumor? I don't think I've seen it anywhere else, actually... E3: The DS game thread - A Black Falcon - 13th May 2004 Yeah, IGN said that they confirmed that NST was making it, I thought... E3: The DS game thread - OB1 - 13th May 2004 I only heard that was speculation. E3: The DS game thread - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2004 Cube-Europe: Quote:It seems the company behind Metroid Prime: Hunters is none other than NST, the guys behind the incredible Wave Race. They seem pretty sure that NST is the developer. E3: The DS game thread - OB1 - 13th May 2004 Where did they get their info from? I hope that's correct though since a reliable guy at the IGN boards said that someone from NST hinted at a single-player mode for the game. E3: The DS game thread - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2004 I don't know where they got that from. E3: The DS game thread - OB1 - 13th May 2004 Well.... ![]() E3: The DS game thread - A Black Falcon - 13th May 2004 That pic's great... :) E3: The DS game thread - OB1 - 13th May 2004 Did you watch the conference? It was great to see a Nintendo marketing head who doesn't hesitate to trash talk the competition. :) He got on the job in December 2003, so maybe Nintendo's marketing will improve. E3: The DS game thread - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2004 Reggie casts "Trash the Competion". Like I said, Reggie is awesome. It still works for me. :/ E3: The DS game thread - OB1 - 15th May 2004 Yeah it's fine for me now. E3: The DS game thread - A Black Falcon - 15th May 2004 It wasn't working for a while, but fixed itsself. :) E3: The DS game thread - Dark Jaguar - 15th May 2004 ABF, about that rumor. NO! I said "does it play GBA games?". Someone either told me or directed me to a link that said, not as a rumor, but as a fact, that it only will play GBA games but not GBC or GB games. I made the mistake of believing it. Anyway, not sure why you thought I came up with it. I'd never assume they would do that. E3: The DS game thread - A Black Falcon - 15th May 2004 I did see one place say that since that post... so I'll say that I don't know. I did see some places say it would play GB/C games, but not in a form that directly refuted this rumor... so it could be either way. But I think leaving it out would be really stupid. E3: The DS game thread - Sacred Jellybean - 15th May 2004 Yeah, it'd make no sense to leave that out. I'd be pissed at Nintendo if they snubbed the GB/C. Well, maybe not, because I'm buying that neat little NES GBA SP anyway. E3: The DS game thread - Dark Jaguar - 15th May 2004 Yes it would be, and honestly I don't even consider it an option any more. It was just stated as a straight fact at a link I was given during the chat. I need to raise the sensitivity of my myth radar again... Anyway, aside from that, I do hope that PURELY for the sake of full backwards compatibility, they add in SGB support. I've mentioned it many times before, and likely will continue to, but I still really wish they'd add it in there. E3: The DS game thread - A Black Falcon - 16th May 2004 SGB support? But this screen isn't the same resolution as a SNES screen... and anyway they'd never do it. Sorry. |
