From GAF:

Quote:The Japanese magazine V-Jump has announced that Square Enix has a surprise title in the works, and that this title will be officially unveiled in the September 20th issue of the magazine.

The surprise title is said to be ready for a release in late 2003 (November/December), but that's the only information given. Rumors are flying around that it's a new Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile or even a sequel to Vagrant Story, but none of this is confirmed.

As soon as we find out what the surprise is, we'll let you in on it.

Or maybe a new Chrono game!
They are already MAKING a new Chrono game, Chrono Break. If this is yet another one, that would be amazing, but somehow I doubt it.
I'm sure it will be a megaton of an announcement.
AAAAGGGGHHHH!!! Don't ever say that again! EVER!

I don't think it will be another Star Ocean game since the third installment came not too long ago.
Was Chrono Break ever actually officially announced?
Yes it was, but that's about it. It's not even known what system the game is going to be for, or ANY real details at all. Some sites have made mock-up pictures, but nothing solid has been released aside from the name.

To be honest, I'd like to see Radical Dreamers, the unreleased-in-America 2nd Chrono game for Super Famicom get remade for GBA. I've heard it's an odd sort of game with a lot of storybook type elements, and not really RPG based.
I have a translated Radical Dreamers rom, but haven't played it...
If it's Chrono Break, that would be the megaton-of all announcements.

What sites have those mock-ups, DJ?
Hmm, RPGamer I think. Lots of square fan sites have that mock up by now. Doesn't really matter though, since it's just a mockup.

Chrono Break is officially announced. It's just that it's ONLY announced and nothing more. They might even change the name.
Well, I wanna see at least SOMETHING related to the game. :)
Even if it's just fanmade? Okay then, lemme look about.

Hmm, RPGamer has some actual pictures it seems. Here's a Japanese advertisement poster.

I hope I'm not the only one seeing a tiny red 'x' instead of a poster...
I don't see a tiny red X, I see a tiny blue box with a white question mark in it. ;)
Worked for me, but then again that's "cache syndrome". I had it already stored when I posted it, so of course it worked for me...

You'll just have to click here.

Note that they mistakingly call Chrono Break the 3rd game when in fact they forgot about Radical Dreamers (which I've read more about at this site, seems it's a sort of text adventure game where instead of typing you are presented with choices to make as you go along, like an "easy type" version of The Dark Crystal text adventure I played a long time ago), however generally this site is pretty accurate with it's news.
I have Netscape, so I see nothing... NS doesn't show anything when a picture is dead. So no red X. :)
Your version of Netscape does weird things, ABF. Mine shows a small box with a file icon that has the corner broken off from it.
