Wherever you are...

And instead of using that hot Japanese girl, I'll use this ancient PA strip instead:

Happy birthday ABF. My present is in the mail.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! How old?

Hello there.

Guess no one remembers (or DJ didn't say anything, I told him late last Friday night...). I'm in Denmark (Copenhagen, Roskilde for a day trip, and Hillerød, Helsingør, and Helsingburg (not sure), Sweden for another daytrip) on vacation. Been here since we (me and my dad) left early Saturday morning... its great so far. Oh yeah, this is the first I've been on the net... and I doubt I'll be back online until this Sunday night (late). I don't exactly have easy Internet access.

So its good that its on my birthday... :)

First time I've been on a plane in 5 years (since summer '98 and our vacation in England)... but it went fine. Well, except for the long lines at Logan Airport (Boston - Paris - Copenhagen)...

Oh, I'm 21 today (the drinking age here is 18, BTW, but I haven't drunk... and don't plan on starting anytime soon...)

Also... Danish keyboards are weird. æ ø å € £

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about your European trip. Have fun.
Happy birthday, ABF!!
Happy Birthday!

(and now that you've finally found your socialist utopia... STAY THERE)

:D
You're going to Denmark and Sweden for your birthday...? Don't get me wrong , thats cool and I'm envious, but...what the hell for? Denmark and Sweden, why there, why Scandinavia? Simply not logical... why now Malta and the Vatican, makes just as much sense..
I didn't explain in that post? Huh, I didn't... I did when I told some of you, though. :)

I went because my dad offered to take me with him when he went to Copenhagen for a math conference... the fact that the week it happened on contained my birthday is just a cooincidence.

We left ... uhh... I don't know. Last Friday?, got there 9:30am local time Saturday, and got back yesterday evening (I was too tired to go on the computer then and post...).

So during the week my dad was at the math conference and I went to various museums and saw the city... its pretty nice. :)

Oh yeah, and most (read: everyone I talked to) of the people in Denmark (and, from what I know, the rest of Scandinavia) know very good English. Also, lots of museums have the displays in English and Danish... and the ones that don't have English guidebooks. So its very easy to get around...

That is true, Denmark and Sweden are perfect examples of what socialism can be and why that system works so well. Sure, prices are very high, but you get all kinds of things free we have to pay for... health care, college, retirement, etc, etc... Things like having to pay $4-$5 for a half-liter soda (compared to the US where its easy to get a 20 oz (.59 liter) soda for $1) is just a cost of that...

Oh, one last thing to mention. Well... two. First, more people biysicle in Denmark than anywhere I have ever seen. Copenhagen has bike lanes in the streets (on both sides) almost everywhere and HUGE numbers of people bike around... around the main train station for instance there are a huge number of parked bikes.

And finally, its pretty much true that people in Scandinavia are almost all blond, fairly tall, and attractive.
Get ahold of ThunderAngel first! If I'm not terribly mistake she's from Denmark (or close to it...), maybe she can tell you a good place to get some Klav Kalash!
Oh, and happy birfday!

:D
She's from Holland.
:S

Close enough.
She's still very attractive though. When I got drunk I hit on her like crazy. Thankfully Sean found it funny, else I probably wouldn't have lived to see the next day. :)
The Netherlands isn't Denmark... you can tell since in Holland most of the people aren't blond. :)
