be neat , I hope they make one.

Cloud looked cool in Kingdom hearts.
I remember reading somewhere that some Square empoyee said that if it did happen it would likely be on Sony's new hand-held likely using a engine similar to the origional FFVII engine
I want a sequeil!
No, thanks.
You don't want a sequiel?
I want a sequiel!
I doubt its gonna be a hand held as sqaure should know better At how popular FFVII was.Putting it on a lesser hand held would be stupid a seqeuil to FF7 would make more money then the declining installments that came after it.

I hope they keep the animation style but just beef it up to meet the current generation of consoles qaulity.

I am sure sqaure will release the FF1-3 special editions they had on the wonder swan color.
Sorry ASM, but they were making fun of your spelling there...

To be honest a sequal would be interesting, but I'd much rather see a sequal to FFIV. FFVII if you ask me finished out it's story rather fully.
Yeah, there really wasn't anything left to the story to make a sequel out of.
Haha, DJ commented on ASM's bad spelling and then managed to spell the same word wrong.
Actually, sequal is a word, just the wrong one :D. Sequel... Being a word I don't think I've EVER actually written or typed before this, that just looks wrong for some reason even though it's right...
No, "sequal" is not a word.
Yes it is, specifically, it's an acronym for a certain sea research project.
Rolleyes

The Seasonal Equatorial Atlantic Experiment?
Yeah that's the one.

Exactly, as I was saying I think the underwater sections of FF7 were flushed out well enough and don't need such an experiment on it's seasons and, it's equatoriality...

(phew, that oughta hold the little SOBs...)
...

:nono:

That's true. Despite the ambiguous ending, all the evil in the world had been vaquished.

I've always thought a prequel would be most appropriate. Set in the great war in Wutai, perhaps.
Well, evil besides, all the character's stories were rapped up just fine. However, in the case of FFIV, some character's stories weren't fully wrapped up. The biggest example is Kain, who seems like he's about to go on a MASSIVE trial just before the end. If a sequel is made, it should use Kain as the main character.
FFVII is probably the most popular FF game ever, so a sequel to that is pretty likely.
The only way they could make a sequel to FF7 would be if they changed the story or had evil somehow come back even after is was supposed to have been defeated forever.
