Here's the question, does it translate in reverse?
I'd heard of the one for dogs... so dumb. I don't see how it would work, really...
I dont see how it would work? kind of reminds of that babby translator Hommers brother made on the simpsons.

be neat to see it in action I am kind of curious to see what my dog thinks of me?
I've read about the dog translator and it does work, but to a very small extent. It loosely translates their barks to things like "I'm exited" or "I'm bored", mostly things you probably guess on your own.
I do believe Dexter tranlated dogs best.

"THE THING! HERE'S THE THING! IT'S A THING! YOU SEE THE THING? HERE'S THE THING!"
Yeah, I'd think that that's pretty much what they'd be saying. :)
According to Gary Larson [The Far Side] every sound a dog makes translates to "Hey".
And according to Dextor's dog translator, the occasional neighborhood-wide barking of everyone's dogs in the middle of the night translates as:

"HEY! I CAN HEAR YOU BARKING! HEY DOGS! HEY! HEEEY! CAN YOU HEAR ME BARKING? I CAN HEAR YOU BARKING! HEY CAN YOU HEAR ME? HEY!"
It's more of a novelty item than a serious translator. And as Great Rumbler said, the stuff it can translate is stuff you'd be able to figure out for yourself.
Yeah, it seems pretty pointless to me.
