Check it out, it's not a liscensed accesory it seems, but finally someone thought of making a GBA wireless adapter instead of using a link cable. Apparently it will send the data at 2.4 ghz, or something like that, just like Wavebird. Since it's external and not something you have to install, it'll be sold in stores. This guy is cool. I do believe this is something I will indeed want. Now then, how long before this guy's SECOND innovation is copied by Nintendo?
Ha! awesome! If it works well enough (does it work with single cart and cart-per-player games?) then I see no reason not to get one. Ah... portable wireless multiplayer games... gahhrrrrr *strings of thick saliva*
I'm not sure of all the details. The guy only recently announced that that's his secret project (he actually had a closed curtain showing of it at E3). I'm pretty certain it will work with single cart games, since all the cartridge less systems do is sit and wait for the data to be sent to them so they know what to do. Will he sell them individually, in packages of two, or packeges of 4? I think the middle one would be best. It would indeed be great fun to play someone across the house or across a plane just by plugging them in, setting them to the right frequency, and going from there. I THINK there will be switches to determine who is what player number. The next step from here? Online support via cell phone! Nintendo's little cell phone link for Pokémon Crystal (Japan only) was a GREAT idea, if only American cell phones all had the same link port (though pretty soon I think they will standardize that). This is an awesome first step though that I think will once again force Nintendo's hand :D.
Yeah, this sounds pretty cool... wireless multiplay! :)
The only reasons not to get a wavebird are if you don't want to worry about batteries or if you are just a tad too fond of the rumbling. Neither of those are a concern here, as the system already uses batteries and it hardly can be said to remove rumbling from those GBC games that have it. Assuming this ends up being just as reliable as the wave bird, I see no reason to use normal link cables ever again :D. Well, I can see a situation actually. What if you have two of these devices, but not a 3rd or forth? Hmm, I think I'll hurry up and suggest he allow for link cables and this to be used together! That's why I love Triton Labs, you have a direct communication with the actual designer of this stuff!

In fact, in the future I think Nintendo would be wise to simply make a similar feature built into all future GBs (with the link cable there purely for the sake of backwards compatibility, or for the times when you just aren't willing to trust your data to the air). No accessory needed then, you can multi straight from the start!
