I was tinkin' aboot somtin'. I think I know what game I personally would want Capcom to do as the next GBA Zelda game. I would love to see a new Zelda game done in the style of Adventure of Link. Something side scrolly with that Zelda twist and all that exploring would be great fun, and of course nothing, and I mean NOTHING compaires to the fun of finding out a wall is false and walking through it to find some hidden room! Castlevania did this too, and oh how sweet those areas are. They could expand on the finding of spells and new techniques, so you don't just learn an upward and downward thrust. The one thing they might change is instead of levelling up, have "tests of valor" hidden all over that you can take and on completion pick one of the three stats to increment. They could pack in Zelda 2 with the game (I think a good thing to do with old games from now on would be, instead of releasing them on their own, just put them in with brand new games of the same franchise).
That would be cool, but I doubt it'll happen. But never fear! Check out this upcoming GBA game:

Quote:April 24, 2003 - Naps Team, the development studio that worked on the currently European-exclusive release Gekido Advance, has offered first screens of its next game in development, titled Dark Night.

This action RPG utilizes the team's attention to graphic detail, with lush backgrounds, as well as large and detailed character sprites. Naps Team is using the NES Legend of Zelda II as inspiration for Dark Night, and the developers promise an average of 30 hours of gameplay when all is said and done.

No release information was given, but we'll have the details as soon as we get it.

Sorry about the tiny screens, but I can't access ign's media page for this game.

Holy shit, those screens look awesome...I'm interested in it now. I like that cozy, almost cartoon-like art and backgrounds.
Dark Knight looks pretty nice, I might just have to get it.
That almost looks like Link with a shield spell cast on him. But is the fighting style the same as Zelda 2? I loved Zelda 2 fighting because you had to thrust and parry and all that stuff. Very different feel from other game's combat, as you had to run right up, and rather than backing up and running forward so much, it was all timed jumping, raising and lowering the shield, waiting for an opening, and WAM, striking. In any case, should this use a similar system (hard to see, but I THINK that's a shield and sword he has on his back), and have a huge overworld with one of the nicest encounter systems I've seen (slightly random, but you could avoid the dark shadows of encounterness if you tried), and basically all one world to explore with many dungeons full of items and spells and new fighting techniques, then I WILL get this game.

I am Error.
What? I can see the screens just fine.
It's a quote you ninny! Don't you remember Error from Zelda 2? He's only the coolest guy in the game!
