A while ago, I discovered that this backwoods site has NO appreciation for the world beloved muppets. BRUTES! I've decided this needs to be fixed.

Therefor, I present to you a series of fortunate events. This is why Kermit has appeal.

Let's ease you into it, since I know you all love Sesame Street at least.

Huh, Kermit can be a bit unstable... Time for some jokes.

Now that I think about it, the Muppets can get pretty meta.

Anyway, time for a few movies.

Classic, total classic.

Even classicer! It would seem Gonzo predicted the rise of Bollywood. (And Kermit made him miss out on it!)

This one took the net by storm, but they've done a lot more song parodies than that.

However, want to feel the feelings?

There, now you all love the muppets! I am the great manipulator!
A few of those were amusing, sure. Others weren't. The first one (from Sesame Street - Cookie Monster I know! :) ) and the Muppet Treasure Island intro were probably the best ones, and the second video probably the worst (that wasn't funny at all). The others are in between -- some of the little skits with the two old guys were mildly amusing, though it wasn't that funny overall.

I did watch Sesame Street sometimes as a kid so I'm sure I saw muppets there at least... but as for the Muppet Show, while I imagine I saw some episodes sometime, it's not something I cared about enough to remember much at all.

As for the song parody, I presume it would help to care about and know anything beyond the name of the song they are parodying, but I, of course, don't.
The second one wasn't funny at all? Seriously? That's like one of their funniest sketches! It's meta humor about when two people try to tell a joke and fail and everyone just gets angry at each other. I mean, we've all been there, right? I always lose it when Piggy starts saying "I'm reminding myself!". I've had to defend myself like that a few times.

Don't make me get Pepe out here to explain the joke to you.
It's annoying, though. Either tell the joke or don't, the constant interruptions are really annoying!
The interruptions ARE the joke! The joke they are "trying to tell" is incidental to the actual joke, and doesn't sound all that funny anyway.

Unnnnbelievable...
... How is people being annoying and constantly interrupting eachother funny, though?
