And that movie is Equilibrium. Equilibrium is a combination of The Matrix and Fahrenheit 451. It's also a martial arts movie, except instead of kung fu it has gun-kata, which is form of martial arts that uses guns. Gun-kata isn't real, so don't get any ideas. :)

Quote:In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Clerick John Preston (Bale) is a top ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. Whe he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston, who has been trained to enforce the strict laws of the new regime, suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it.
Sounds more like Logan's Run. Fahrenheit 451 sucked.
Damn I'm good! When I saw the title of this thread I knew that you were talking about Equilibrium! I haven't seen it yet but I've been hearing great things about it for the past six months so I'm gonna rent it tonight.

If Logan's Run had awesome martial arts gun fights then you might have a point.

Yeah, well Equilibrium rocks.
Hmm.. What's this movie about?
I just watched it and it was indeed very cool. I do wish that there were a few more fight scenes, though. Those were great.

It's a sci-fi movie that takes place sometime in the future after World War III and the government decided to get rid of all emotional extremes in order to stop further conflict, so everyone is forced to take this drug called Prozium which basically dulls their emotions.

Hijinks ensue.
Logan's Run was awesome.:)
