I'm posting this in Tendo City because it's about Tendo City. And because we should have all the forums consolidated into one. It would make the place seem like there's more traffic. What do we have, 5 active threads?

Sorry Falcon, I had to do it. :D I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't think you'd be a good sport.

Hey, it's this smiley again. Eek I'm putting it in here for good measure. Nice going geoboy (was that his name?).
No, merging the forums isn't a good idea, even if there are few threads it's better to keep things separate.

Also, I only post that 'games I bought' stuff here... it's all TC-only posts! :)
It would make browsing easier to have everything in one place. It'd be less organized technically, which is why I think you're against it, but simpler is always better imo.
Mixing things which should be separated isn't right! I don't like how many forums merge everything into too few forums...
It's called clean up. We've reached the point where having 20 different forums, most of them empty, is far past overkill.
No, we've already consolidated things enough. Merging gaming and non-gaming is going too far.
Place is barren as shit again man. Don't worry, I've been trying to write a new Studies of Cinematic Abortion, but I'm trying to get my animated GIF on first. I never really made them in the past, and this is the type of write-up that begs GIFs. Begs them, Jerry!
I think we should consolidate a few, but not quite all of them. The "review" sections aren't even really full forums, for example. We could leave those alone, because there it's more a matter of organization than anything. Blogs, for example, are just plain impossible to find anything in because all they've got are those dumb "tags", not an intelligentally organized and nested table of contents.
Fair point. If I'm alone on this, I don't mind organizing my posts better.
I like categorizing things. And yeah, DJ, I agree about "tags" on blogs; it's not a good organization system. That's why for my site I had to make a 'table of contents' page.
Don't misunderstand, tags have their uses, but to me a "tagging" system is basically a book's "index". Useful, but it can't replace a table of contents type page.

SJ, I agree with some consolidation, just not all. I say we should go ahead and talk about good ideas for consolidating while we're thinking about it. For example, it was a good move to consolidate "multiplatform" with "Tendo" way back when. We could follow that lead. I think at this point, we should consolidate the "debate" forum into "Ramble" for example. Generally there's a lot of crossover between those two anyway.
Yeah, I'd be cool with just two main subforums, Rumble and Ramble. I don't visit the rest, all the good stuff comes into R&R and Debate. Maybe we can add Falcons compulsive lists of junk into a new subforum while we're at it ;)
Merging Ramble and Philociraptor would be fine, those two definitely overlap, but I don't see any other forums to merge.
Hey now, ABF's lists of junk read like an archaeologist's listing of various pottery fragments they found in some adobe hut. I find it fascinating.
