So am I the only one who sees the irony in that here we have a film that portrays Muslims as violent and unstable and the response from a country is to prove every point in the film with gusto? Maybe the film isn't so completely crazy after all?
Small group, doesn't represent the whole, blah blah blah.

But it's hard not to agree. Westerners bash Muslims for being violent and barbaric and Muslims respond by staging widespread, violent protests. All over some dumb, cheap-o movie.
I have no sympathy for these barbaric savages or their beliefs. I don't have a problem with religion, but... well, let me put it this way:

Worship whatever deity you want, just leave everyone else the fuck alone.
Yeah, by violently attacking America over a film that criticizes Islam for its violence against Christians and probably goes too far in insulting Islam as well, they certainly are showing that the former of those two points, at least, has truth to it...
The movie insults Islam, which, in and of itself, I have no issue with.

The problem is the movie went a lot further into white night territory with a lot more than that, including xenophobic and racist claims about arabic people in general.

The responses have been from a group we already knew to be incredibly violent. "Egypt" didn't respond so much as the group we already knew to be violent responded.

Obama's response about America not being a nation that "denigrates" religion was a bit too mealy mouthed for my tastes.

The man who financed & produced this garbage was infact an Arab christian named Basseley Nakoula.

Mr Basseley conned the actors he hired with a bogus script & film title "desert warriors", he dubbed over the audio track of a number of scenes inserting references to Islam & Mohamed radically altering the context of the movie.
