It's a great anime story about a wolf goddess who takes human form and is rescued by a human. In return she uses her god like wolf cleverness to help him turn a tidy sum.

Positives:
+ Shes naked allot, I'm mean seriously the only way I can image the censors let this show is the fact she has no nipples. But even still I doubt this would be allowed to show in the US. She's naked the entire title sequence and strips down and prances around in all her sexy sexy teenage shewolf glory at least 4 times a episode.
+ Great story line, It's taking a real long time getting in, literately it took 4 episodes before we even learn the plot of the series. But the wolf god's wit and intelligence keeps you real engaged.
+ Real emotional content at times.

Check it out on Netflix today..
I watched all of the first season and most of the second, it's a really good show [and educational!]

Despite the current trend of fog and lensflares, nudity in TV anime isn't entirely uncommon.
Yeah, Spice and Wolf is great. I still haven't gotten around to watching the second season though... I know, I really should. But I did like season one a lot, apart from how the amount of economics lessons got a bit tedious at times.

As for the nudity, yeah, it's fairly common in anime, though not always quite like that (a character like Holo who doesn't care). There are two reasons for it, I'd say. First, it's fanservice for the audience, because they know they'd like that kind of thing, and second, sort of like Europe, nudity isn't as much of a taboo in Japan as it is in the US.
