I know it was yesterday, and didn't see as much April Fools Day stuff as sometimes, but there were a few funny things around... here's one I saw on neogaf:

It wasn't yesterday, it's today.

That Google Maps thing got REALLY nerdy on some Famicom. I hate to pick apart a joke... wait I love doing that. Here goes.

The microphone on controller 2 wasn't sensitive enough for voice recognition. It only detected volume. There already was a modem add-on for the Famicom. It sure would have been funny to see that in there. I mean, if they're adding in a modem to a Famicom cart, why not go all in and add an ethernet jack for broadband? I'm pretty sure the Famicom didn't need "blowing" or any other home remedies because it was a top loader. However, the first run of the console did have a severe issue that could result in a dead system in a lot of cases. Nintendo quickly repaired the issue in the second run on out.

Anyway, still very funny stuff.

The opening for Game Center CX shows a kid blowing into a Famicom cartridge before playing it.
Yeah, and I certainly sometimes have to blow on NES (with my toploader) SNES, Genesis, GB, etc. carts to get them to work... they aren't too much more likely to work just because of that.

As for the point about the microphone, that's probably being a bit pickier than the joke is about, yes? :) I think it's pretty funny, and it's a real map option for Google Maps, too... I mean, on their website, not on a cart. :p

Oh, and yeah, of course you're right, it should have been "today" and not "yesterday".
