Dead Island is pretty awesome, I've dropped nearly two hours into it already and the only reason I'm quitting is that's well past midnight and I needs my sleepy time.
That game is so unbelievably beautiful.
Love to get my hands on it but I don't have the money to burn. Alas.
Just as well, since the PC version is currently screwed up pretty badly.
OK, some friends at my other community are discussing a 4-pack I may partake in.
The reviews have been extremely varied, so I'll ask you what your impressions are and if it is indeed a buy.
The PC version is still kind of messed up at the moment [mainly the multiplayer and some other random things], but it's actually a really fun game. If you ever played Oblivion and thought "Man, this game would be so much better with zombies" then you're looking in the right spot. It's a straight-up open-world first-person RPG with zombies. It's light on story but big on doing quests and fighting through hoards of zombies for loot.
I paid $34 for it [at GreenManGaming] and I think that's probably the right price.
