That sure is a pun there. Yep.

Decent joke, and a good question too... :)

Yeah it's sure been delayed a while. Yeah it's annoying. But Portal 2 is Valve's most recent game. This joke is NOT on the pulse of world pop culture.

Tens of thousands of people still play L4D and L4D2 every day, not so for Portal 1/2.

They got all of three people to hold up banners and get the message out? I'm not even sure the third guy counts, it looks like he just happened upon the scene and is asking if they know the nearest place to pick up a six pack.
If guess if you really reached you could call the guy holding the camera a fourth person. 4 Left 4 Half Life 3.

The third guy is the CEO of Valve.

Not the calibur I would expect of Valve. I expected him to look like an older Gordon Freeman. Or maybe that spooky floating head guy that talks to you in the second game (never played it myself, but I watched my room mate play it in college).

That's the G-man, a god-like government agent of some sort
Okay the CEO being there makes this actually worth posting. You should have said something.
I don't get why people are still playing Left 4 Dead that much. It's a co-op game. Once you finish the campaign, what else is there? I'd think interest would have dropped sharply at that point.

Ah, Gaben. One of the richest men in gaming :)

You mean, that unfortunate-looking man on the end is important?

There's six different modes, including survival [where you try not to get killed for as long as possible] and team versus.
But the more noteworthy stat is that more than 100,000 people are still playing Counter-Strike after 12 years.

That's like saying "Well, we've fought all the characters against all the other characters in Smash Bros. Time to pack it up."
I play Versus games at least twice a week. The routes may be the same but no two games are ever alike.
Also, if you don't know who Gaben is, you shouldn't be playing games on a PC. That's pretty much it :p

I've heard of Gaben, I've just never seen him.
