Some Facebook Monster.. Wrote:[Image: Scam.PNG]
Let me reiterate this ad.. It says, I can get a accredited degree with no class, no professors, armed only with what I already know.. :D That's what it says.. Completely unedited..

I really wish Facebook had I like this because your ignorance amuses me button..

And the really funny thing is, that you click it and it refers you to respected schools that will have non off that.. So all the redneck potheads in the world are like.. Aww damn! they done dida trickeded me margalene. I thoughtsa I was gona get me some learning.. Damn..
It's called a diploma mill. They do give you a "diploma", but it's completely worthless because if you list it in your resume, no employer will take you, and they won't take you because of all the reasons you just said. Fact is, anyone anywhere can give you a piece of paper that says you "graduated" something.

It's the same way the "Creation Institute" gets all those "biologists".
I almost got sucked in to one of those. There are real online universities where you can work at your own pace, that is not one of them.
Good point lazy, I didn't mean to imply that there aren't legitimate online courses. Like everything else, do your research to find out who's really accredited. Pro tip: browsing the web site for the college you are researching doesn't count as research.
That reminds me of so called "online seminaries" where typically all you have to do is pay 100$ and answer correctly 6 out of10 theological questions on a online quiz and they will send you a certificate thru the mail registering you as a ordained Minister in their church.
Only somewhat related but the "Creation Museum" tour guides don't even seem to realize the full extent of what a real museum does. Someone asked them where they keep their specimens or where they do their research and their response, ignorantly enough, was to look confused for a few seconds before parroting "we're a museum".
