Ow yes I did!!
That's actually a pretty nice embedded flash music player. I've seen a lot worse out there for sure. The aesthetic is "keep it simple" and it works great.

One issue though... A lot of flash players do this, so you're not alone, but why oh why does every single flash embed developer feel the need to not only stick a volume control in their flash interface, but also to "lower" the thing's volume? It's 3 levels removed from my speakers at that point, once through speaker volume, again through system master volume, once more through WAVE volume, and then through flash? Does it REALLY need it's own volume control? Really? No really, I'm curious as to why this has become standard for flash volume.

My suggestion would be to set it at "max" by default and assume everyone's already got their computer volume set at a comfortable level on their own. Slap a "share embed code" button in there, and it's done. It even goes the extra mile and shows the source of the sound it's playing for easy direct downloads.

Heh, though now with HTML5 (henceforth renamed to just "HTML", confusingly enough), there's much bluster about converting web programs to that. I doubt it'd work here, considering our forum isn't even set up for HTML4, using a partially hacked outdated version of forum tech, but it's something to think about down the road.
Wait.. Your just now noticing the music player? And you like it now?

I set it up on the site three years ago.. And on the introduction thread you commented and told me to stop screwing with standards.. You also mentioned the same thing about the volume level...

Wait.. Is this fuck with Toven day? :S
Cause that was last Tuesday... When my underware came to me in a dream and told me I was gay.. Only I was James Stamos.. :)

Ow well.. Glad you like it now.. I think.. Erm
When I get some time, I still have the project files, i'll rebuild it so volume defaults to 100% if you want.. But until Wednesday I have to focus on studying for my next cert exam..
This is interesting.. Did someone prune forum 5? I can't find the thread.. And forum 5 only has two pages of posts now..
There's only two pages of posts here:

http://www.tcforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=87

But that's because most of Forum 5 is here:

Yes and that sub forum only has 9 pages now.. Allot's missing.
I never noticed the music player, it was the video player I noticed, the one embedding files from youtube which I thought was redundant. At any rate I like the music player.

Because there is not a single, default volume setting for sound objects. That's why I love volume normalizing in iTunes and other such programs.

I prefer to have the object volume set low by default because I hate being surprised by something that's much louder than I anticipate it being, much more than I am annoyed because it is too soft. And, it's quicker than reaching for my speaker knob.
It is? It's quicker? Really? I always found reaching for my speaker knob MUCH quicker than bothering with that sort of thing.

Also, flash players don't normalize at all from my experience, so it's not really helping anything.
