Quote:Mario Golf GC release date
Nintendo of America announced today that they will be shipping Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour on June 30 in North America. This may come as a surprise to some, because not many details or screenshots have been released regarding the Camelot-developed title (the folks who brought us Golden Sun). However, more will certainly be on display at this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo, and GAF will bring you the full scoop, including playable characters, course numbers, and new gameplay mechanics.

YES!!

Mario Golf in June, F-Zero in August, then maybe Mario Kart in July?? Wow pretty good, yes? But what about Mario Tennis? Where does that fit in?

Speculate!
I'm trying to decide between this and Mario Tennis. Although in actuallity I'll probably end up buying both. :)
I might get this game... I don't know about Mario Tennis, though, since I already have that for N64.
Well I have Mario Kart 64 but I'm still gonna get Double Dash. Aren't you?
Well, yeah, but I don't have Mario Kart 64, either... :) I'll buy it once I find it for at most $20.

I don't know, I'll have to hear how much different and superior Mario Tennis GC will be before considering spending $50 on it.
What, do you think it'll just be a simple graphical upgrade?
No, but Mario Tennis 64 wasn't good enough for me to want a sequel. Besides, how much more can you do with tennis?

I can't believe you just said that!
I never played Mario Golf or Tennis and have no interest in these new versions... and I also don't have Mario Kart 64. Its just not worth $25 and I have NEVER seen it for any cheaper than that.
It's not worth $25?? You're nuts! It's the third best N64 racer after F-Zero and Diddy Kong Racing. And please don't mention any of those horrendous Cruisin' games, okay?
Single player is WAY too easy... it'd be worth $15 or $20, but not $25 or $30... the game just isn't long enough.

And yes, I have played it. Its not as good as F-Zero X, Rush (2 or 2049), Excitebike, or Wipeout 64... Diddy Kong Racing is close to it. Its better single player mode probably would give it the victory... which is why I have that one and not Mario Kart...
Blasphemy! No Rush game can compare to Mario Kart! Sure the single-player isn't as good as DKR's, but the multiplayer is extremely fun. Do you have no friends or something?
I thought we'd established that fact many times already...

Oh, and SF Rush 2049 is my second favorite racing game on the N64 after F-Zero. Awesome game...
Established what fact? That you have no friends?

Rush is okay. Not in the same league as the Nintendo racers, certainly.

Pretty much, yeah.

Well, we disagree then... I love 2049. Its better than most racing games, Nintendo or otherwise... between the fun standard racing, the great stunt mode, and the huge amount of gameplay its got (finding keys, getting more stats (since it saves a lot of stuff), unlocking more car parts, etc)... its one of the few N64 games I still play fairly regularly... not as good as F-Zero, but because of its longevity it edges out Wipeout. I'd put Excitebike next after those three... its great, but I like the futuristic ones best.

edit: fixed the first reply.
:hammer:
So the fact that I like futuristic/arcade racing games best makes me stupid? Uhh...
Mario Tennis doesn't do much for me...I just don't think I'll EVER take an interest in that. Just arbitrarily posting my opinion here...don't mind me...

I believe that you're forgetting about WaveRace 64, 1080 Snowboarding, and Excitbike 64 --- EASILY the three best racers on the N64.
Uh, no. Those go behind the ones I listed.
Yes, Wave Race and 1080 are also better than Mario Kart. Not as good as my top 4, but better than Mario Kart or DKR.
i like mario golf...for a golf game. but i don't think i'd ever pay full price for it unless they included the RPG elements from the GBC version. which i hope they will do for the GC.

Oh hell no. Mario Kart and DKR are better than those two.
Not in my opinion... how about you accept that some people like kart racing less than you do?
Who said he accepts it?
No one said he would... its just some wishful thinking on my part. Faint hope, I know...
Pfft, you're crazy. You suck.
We're supposed to be defending our own opinions, aren't we? Sure sometimes (most of the time) it doesn't seem to make sense, but that's uh.... that's what Tendo City is for.

Or something.
Yes, we disagree... but note I don't say that you are an idiot for thinking that MK/DKR is better than F-Zero, Wave Race, or Rush 2049... I disagree, for sure, but unlike you I'm not saying that its inconcevable that anyone could ever think differently.
When did I call you an idiot?
You didn't, but you made it sound like it was inconceivable that anyone could ever disagree with your opinion... like usual.
I never suggested that. I just said that Mario Kart and DKR are better.
Well you make it sound that way.
You're such a baby.
Mario Kart 64 is the best N64 racer...second only to Cruisin' World! Eek Eek
It seems that the racing genre is the most contested genre there is. NO ONE can agree on the best games in it because it seems that the racing genre most reflects the individuality of people.

As for me, my faves are F-Zero X and Mario Kart 64. Diddy Kong had great single player, but I play racers for multi more than single player.

Wow, it looks like Nintendo has gone even further with Peach's sex appeal from Mario Golf 64 (she had that orgasm taunt in the last game) and given her a sexy little skirt! I wonder if there will be any "hide in the woods and have sex with that dirty little slut Peach" mini-games.
i like how koopa troopa is making a comeback in nintendo games. first mario kart, now mario golf.
