I was just elivated to a higher plane of pure stupid at my local KFC..
The conversation with the lady at the counter went something like this..

~Takes order..
Mam I said I wanted the hot wings...
~We don't carry spicy wings we only carry hot wings...
What is the difference between hot and spicy?
~By hot I mean we cook them...
So what your telling me is that by hot wings on the sign, it means that they arn't served raw, that there cooked first?
~Yes...

:WolfSmile followed by :psyduck:

Later rage passes...
Just give me the damn wings...

Honestly it really depresses me how people these days are just content to completely piss their intelligence away.. It makes me really ashamed to call myself homosapien!
So they'll end up the underground race feeding on the weak smarties up top?

Personally I don't like spicy food. Physical pain while I eat isn't my idea of a good meal, but to each their own.

Keep this in mind though. That person's "ignorance" may merely be the only means of rebellion they can muster, pointing out the stupidity of a company decision they too see as idiotic by reveling in it to an extreme.
You can have something be spicy without venturing into "personal pain".
True. I like food to have flavor, but don't like mouth-burning levels of spice. So at Indian restaurants, which I would definitely say have the hottest "medium" between Indian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese places, I usually get mild, because it's still got flavor, and I'm not suffering while I eat it. Thai is a little less spicy than Indian, so I usually get medium there. Chinese (the American version of it) and Japanese aren't very spicy.

For Mexican food, I'd rather not have the sliced (or whole, or whatever) jalapenos, thank you. :)

As for buffalo wings and stuff, I don't really like chicken wings, so I don't know. I love chicken, but I prefer boneless stuff, and don't like skin either... :) Still though, I know they're spicy. I imagine how much depends on which kind you get.

That's true, I hadn't considered that...

However it still dosn't negate the fact that someone was taking dumb ass to a whole new extream. Be it the employee or corporate, someone makes god cry.

Which is a site I see far to often in this town.. It's starting to really make me mad that the people of this town are content to live there lives with such stupidity. Personally, I love the persuit of knowledge, and technology.. I can't get enough of it, I aspire to be more than I am. But I walk around this horrible town, and all I see is alcholics, thieves, and drug adducts, who do nothing but sit around breed and consume space all the while contributing nothing to society, and doing nothing about bettering them-selfs.

This is why I'm glad I found out that different people actually have different numbers of taste buds. I'm a lot more sensitive to spicy foods than a lot of people. It hurts, like it burns my mouth. No damage, but it's enough that I get no joy out of it at all. I might as well squirt lemon juice in my eye.
Etoven, I understand where you're coming from, but I remind myself of this. Walking around town is selection bias. The reason all you see are drunks is because that's where they ARE. The people trying to better themselves aren't wandering around town, they're in school or at work doing the important stuff. Generally you just won't see them behind a counter.

If you happen to have a peptic ulcer, maybe not.

1. Did this KFC happen to be in Iqaluit , Where its been long rumored that fast chains up there in the Arctic territories have made cooking the meat optional? (Yes I know , This joke is in bad taste but so is most of stand-up comedy nowadays)

2. I swore never to eat at KFC ever again 6 years ago, Ive never been there since, The meat on the bone was so pitiful that the chickens must have been anorexic! KFC is too greasy and hard on the stomach for me to enjoy, I have the same issue with BK and Wendy's, Which is why I am glad Canada has Harvey's and their charbroiled burgers..(not to be confused with Hardee's You Yanks!)
As far as fast-food chicken goes, I usually eat at Chick-fil-A.

I'd definitely eat their more often if it where a shorter drive.
