The Phillies, good? It's just so bizarre... I know they've been in the World Series two years in a row and won one, but still... they're the Phillies!
Already moved on from the Red Sox, eh?
No, but they're not in the playoffs. It was an awful season. :bummed:

Actually I'm rooting for the Giants, I have family from San Francisco, so they've always been my second favorite team (way behind the Red Sox, but definitely my second favorite). I also have family from eastern PA, which is why I made this thread, though... I mean, everyone knows that the Phillies are supposed to be bad, seeing them have a little dynasty like this is pretty weird.

They are, you know, the losingest professional sports team in the world. They've lost more games than any other team. Of course baseball plays many more games a season than most sports, and the Phillies have been around quite a while (since the 1880s), so it's not exactly a fair comparison, but within the older National League teams it certainly is, and the Phillies are handily the worst overall. Their 2008 World Series victory was only their second ever (their first was in 1980). And yet now, they're really good. It's weird. :)

But yeah, anyway, I'm hoping the Giants win. I'm not expecting it, they haven't won a World Series since moving to California in the 1950s, but it'd be awesome. :)

El-Oh-El. Come be a Rangers fans, ABF.
No way, I don't like the Rangers. They're from Texas, and I don't like Texas that much (so many conservatives, secessionists, W...)... though that's all completely personal bias, I haven't been to Texas since I was two or so, I'm pretty sure. Besides that I kind of like the Mariners , so I don't like the Rangers or Angels that much for that reason as well. And of course as a Giants fan I dislike the A's.

The Giants won game 1 of their series, good start... poor Twins though, the Yankees always seem to crush them, every year.
Lol
What? :)
It's you, baby. Just you.
