Not really, Microsoft hasn't disconnected them yet, that's all. You can bet they'll all be offline the moment MS puts those upgrades in place, if not sooner. Personally I just don't get why this is supposed to be so cool.
They say as much in the article, DJ. They know it's only a matter of time before they're kicked off, but they're still going to keep playing Halo 2 until that happens.
^Or until their Xbox systems overheat to death. There's only so much a system can take before it gives out.
