God, help me. :(
I've tweeted 8 times today. Social networking has clearly claimed my soul. All that's left is for Steve Jobs to rise up from the earth and drag me screaming down into the fiery abyss.
...Why...

Because I need those tokens for the Bioware Bazaar, that's why!!

Unfortunately, I've also found myself typing out random thoughts and then posting them.
Bioware Bazaar?
I have never understood the obsession that people have with Twitter. Hell, Facebook--a social tool that allows you to do twice as much--allows you to post Twitter like updates about yourself via your personal wall.

Twitter can be incredibly useful. I don't have an account of my own, but there are good things about it. Case in point: EZTV. This is the link for bookmarking purposes: http://twitter.com/eztv_it. EZTV is the best torrent provider for TV shows - on torrent sites, they always have the most seeders and the best quality sound and picture. Every update on this site is a Torrent of a TV show that just aired. I've yet to find a better place to download TV shows.
I tried Twitter for about two weeks. It didn't take.
I don't see the point. I have the good sense to be ashamed of most of my inner random thoughts and thus find the idea of posting every little thing I do, say or think during the day abhorrent (not to mention downright trivial). Ah the internet, preserving everyone's random meaningless blurbs for all eternity in all their triteness. Suddenly I get the ending of MGS2...
Twitter is like an IM service that is always on and automatically saves whatever you type for everyone who might be interested to see.
Yeah, I've been on Twitter for about a year now. Mostly because a bunch of people I know are on it, I spend more time reading other peoples stuff and the pictures/links they post than making my own. I'm not the kind of tweeter who tweets about the status of my sandwich order, but every once in a while I drop on the site and squeeze out a nugget of insight.
I hope you're aware of the obvious joke I could make with that kind of phrasing.

An IM service that's always on? Heh, yeah, kinda like a message board :D. The big difference is just how trite most comments on it are.

That was intentional :D

Message boards are exclusive communities, generally with a focus on a certain type of discussion [sports, videogames, cars, ect.]. Twitter is a wide open forum where everyone can go and form their own little communities with friends, families, and anyone else they might want.

Twitter isn't really a forum for in-depth discussion of course, but it lets you leave little bits of information whenever something comes to you.
I tried for a few weeks to see what it was like. My conclusion was the same as Ryan's: it didn't take. I think the main reason was my lack of imagination. I found that I never had a lot of important things to say.
Yeah, there's two people when it comes to Twitter. People who don't have the imagination to make constant interesting updates every day about things, and people who don't realize that about themselves yet.

Poochy?
I've never tried Twitter. I keep hearing mixed responses about it. I'm on Facebook, which I check regularly, and MySpace, which I check only occasionally.
Now I got this thing going on:

Myspace? You still use Myspace, Geno? I gave up on that shit years ago.
