This is awesome news!

I got introduced to the Persona series when P4 was released. I was skeptical of the game at first. I had never experienced a game with the SIM dating element to it. Still, I kept an open mind about it. After two hours, I fell in with the game. The story, characters, game play, NPCs, environment--all of it came together to create one of the most original and memorable RPGs that I've ever played.

Atlus has not confirmed the system that the game will be on. It's only logical that they release it on the PS3; Atlus has stuck with Sony since the original Persona.

Is anyone else excited about this?

I only messed around an hour or two with Person 4, and I have vague memories of Persona 1, but I really loved Person 3, so good news I guess!

Except for the "PS3" part.

I got the PSP port of the original Persona, but haven't had the time to get into it.

I have Persona 2: Eternal Punishment for PS1. Got it at the time I got my PS1 in early '06. Don't like it much, though. WAY, WAY too grind-heavy... I hate grind. When I get to the boss I should be able to go on, I shouldn't have to spend the next hour running in circles levelling up just to be able to fight them... that's stupid, I'm not going to do it.

So yeah, I haven't exactly been that interested in trying P3 or P4, considering that as far as that goes I've heard they're not too different. :)
