I picked it up a few months ago for $2, but never got around to playing it until yesterday. If you believe what "The Internet" says, it's a train-wreck and a travesty of a sequel to the most perfect game ever made. So, imagine my surprise when I find out that Invisible War is actually really good and a lot closer to what I want out of my cyberpunk RPG than even the original.

Some of the RPG elements get toned down, but that aside it still present a great RPG experience with a more open world and plenty of choices about how to proceed through missions, and even from one mission to the next. That's probably my favorite thing about this game is how it doesn't just take you from one mission to the next, it lets you stop and fool around and explore the world.

Also, thanks to the high-resolution texture patch, it holds up fairly well in the graphics department.
Worst game ever!!!

... I've never played it. :p

Only played the demo of the original game, actually. Maybe I will sometime... but actually getting and playing the Thief and System Shock games is higher on my list, probably. As much as I loved the demos of Thief and Thief 2 (and System Shock 2), I never did pick up the full games, sadly... always meant to, but never got to it. :( My cousins did get Thief 1 so I've played a bit more of that one, but I've never played the rest of the second game, or System Shock 2 (never played the first one at all), sadly. :(

I do have Terra Nova, though, and it's great... completely different kind of game though, like an FPS crossed with MechWarrior 2.
You can get it off of Amazon for about $3, so price definitely isn't a barrier here.
Well, I beat it today. It really is a good game that's gotten some undeserved hate over the years.

It does have some flaws though:
-Length: Took me about 8 hours to beat and that was with most of the sidequests, although it didn't feel overly short.
-Templar Paladins: They take a metric ton of ammo to beat, they don't give you any ammo when they die, and when they die they explode so melee weapons are out.
