Bill was the reasonable one? Wow...
Take the Geneva gloves off especially when you perform preemptive war over unproven allegations.

:psyduck:

This guy certainly makes "o'Reily a liberal by comparison.

The Wahhabi Al'qeada psychos of Saudi Arabia would love nothing but to see their religious rivals in Iran go up in smoke.Just as Iran benefited from the disposal of Saddam so will Al'qeada benefit from the disposal of the shia Mullah regime.

You might find Hezbollah in Iran, You will never see Al'qeada or Sunnite Jihadist sitting at the table of the "heretics".

Here's some history!

Emperor Alexis Comnenus of Constantinople corresponded to his western counterparts saying this, "Attacking all factions of Islam will unite all factions of Islam".

Alexis knew about the a schismatic divisions and factionalization within Islam, Amazing as it sounds before the crusades Egypts ruling dynasty the "Fatimids" were shite and Alexis knew that , That's why he as surprising as it sounds "urged the Latin christians of the west not to besiege or make aggression against the Egyptian ruled Saracens.

His warnings fell on deaf ears and they went ahead and ransacked Palestine in the first crusade, Forcing former bitter enemies to band together in opposition against the Xtian/Catholic Crusaders.

As a result of the crusades, The Fatimid Shites were weaken just enough to give way for a Sunnite reinsurance lead by the Kurdish Emirs under Saladin, As a result the Shites were exiled from the Arabian footholds all except Lebanon and only would reestablish themselves in Iran after the "mongols" were expelled, The remnant shites lead by Arab and Azeri Emirs conquered the battered helpless Persians whose military strength was weakened after fighting the Mongols,Installed a Shite monarchy and began the process of converting the Persian populous to the shia theology in a very grizzly "inquisition" style manner.

Those who make up societies formed from the base of the western Roman empire, Have always been wholefully ignorant of the Mohammedans.

If you Put Obama next to McCain which one would appear thinner?
Quote:Public Safety Commissioner dismissal controversy

Governor Palin is currently under investigation by an independent investigator hired by a legislative panel to determine if she abused her power when firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. [44][45] On July 11, 2008, Palin dismissed Walter Monegan as Commissioner of Public Safety and instead offered him a position as executive director of the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, which he subsequently turned down.[46][47] Monegan alleged shortly after his dismissal that it may have been partly due to his reluctance to fire an Alaska State Trooper, Mike Wooten, who had been involved in a divorce and child custody battle with Palin's sister, Molly McCann.[48] In 2006, before Palin was governor, Wooten was briefly suspended for ten days for threatening to kill McCann's (and Palin's) father, tasering his 11-year-old stepson (at the stepson's request), and violating game laws. After a union protest, the suspension was reduced to five days.[49]

Palin asserted that her dismissal of Monegan was unrelated to the fact that he had not fired Wooten, and asserts that Monegan was instead dismissed for not adequately filling state trooper vacancies, and because he "did not turn out to be a team player on budgeting issues."[50] Palin acknowledged that a member of her administration, Frank Bailey, did contact the Department of Public Safety regarding Wooten, but both Palin and Bailey say that happened without her knowledge and was unrelated to her dismissal of Monegan.[50] Bailey was put on leave for two months for acting outside the scope of his authority as the Director of Boards and Commissions. Commissioner Monegan received no severance pay, though at the same time another dismissed Commissioner, Charles Kopp (who served only 11 days) received $10,000.[51]

In response to Palin's statement that she had nothing to hide, in August 2008 the Alaska Legislature hired Steve Branchflower to investigate Palin and her staff for possible abuse of power surrounding the dismissal, though lawmakers acknowledge that "Monegan and other commissioners serve at will, meaning they can be fired by Palin at any time."[52] The investigation is being overseen by Democratic State Senator Hollis French, who says that the Palin administration has been cooperating and thus subpoenas are unnecessary.[53] The Palin administration itself was the first to release an audiotape of Bailey making inquiries about the status of the Wooten investigation.[50][54]

Some history on Sarah Palin,While this may be a slick move by McCain pulling out a women , She wont come in without skeletons in her closet.

This certainly has made things more interesting.
Choosing someone tied to the Ted Stevens Alaska Republican party and all of its massive corruption, with a corruption scandal of their own... and who's only been in office as governor for 1 1/2 years, with no significant prior experience (small-town mayor is it)? Wow.

I think that it's very clear that McCain wanted to pick Joe Lieberman, but wasn't allowed to because he's pro-choice. So they went back and tried to find someone who was a social conservative and would satisfy the religious right (good pick here then, she's a creationist, anti-abortion religious right type), yet whom they could credibly say "McCain is a maverick" with... so they chose a woman. Not one of the more prominent Republican women either, for some reason... I mean, aren't there more experienced choices than Sarah Palin in the Republican party (there are)? Maybe they just didn't want the job... whatever the reason, that was the clear reasoning.

The question is, what will it mean? Well, it means that Biden is going to almost certainly have a crushing victory in the VP debate, I'd say... someone with such a complete lack of experience just isn't going to be able to compete. And it may hurt among some in the Republican base who are anti-female and don't want to vote for a ticket with a woman on it... the question there is whether that hurt will be more or less than the probable benefit among some undecideds who go with McCain because he chose a woman (or because it reinforces their delusions that he's actually still a maverick).

Oh yeah, and her husband works for BP, and is an advocate for drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. And her Lieutenant Governor, Parnell, just ran for Congress (House of Representatives), running against many-term indited Republican Don Young... and Parnell seems to have lost a very close race in the primary a few days ago.

Democrats are already saying that this is the least qualified VP pick since Dan Quayle and that she may even exceed Quayle's level of inexperience... "Do you really want someone that inexperienced (and on the radical fringe culturally) a heartbeat away from the presidency with a 72-year old man in that seat?"

I do hope that the Democratic party, at least, will have no hints of attacking her for her gender... there will probably be more than enough of that from the radical right, sadly. She should be attacked for her inexperience and policy positions, not gender.

Dan Quayle was the dude you could be marked as in the low scores of Sid Miers CIV III. :D

Speaking of quayle,"I can't believe a guy that handsome wouldn't have some impact." Said John McCain in a interview during the 1988 Republican National Convention~ (Source Wikipedia) .

Hard to believe the "so called maverick" Mr John McBush once contemplated changing parties back in 2003?

I don't know much about "Bidden", It seems by the sounds of it that he is the most qualified man in the hole race.

Although I think Wesley Clark would have made a good Veep, Clark would probaily be less proficient in the art of politics then Biden .

Clark would have stolen the thunder away from John McCain's "war hero" racket.
Yeah way to stay on topic there.

Quayle was the ultimate lightweight, error-prone politician... I don't know if he ultimately hurt or helped in 1988, but his lasting reputation is of stupid gaffes and misstatements, most famously the infamous "potatoe" incident. Good looking, young... but nothing there. I don't know if that describes Palin too though, it's probably too soon to tell.

After Dennis Kucinich (the only true liberal in the race) and Hillary Clinton, Biden was my third favorite of the canddiates. I do wish Obama had picked Hillary as his VP, but of the rest, Biden was the best second-choice pick, I would say.

Biden, I thought, had by far the best foreign-policy program of any of the Democratic candidates this cycle...He didn't just have the most experience, but also the best plans. Yes, he voted for the war because, like many, he was fooled into it by the Bush administration's lies, but once he realized that those lies were indeed lies, he turned on it quite strongly. Biden's a very good choice... but ideally, it should have been Clinton. Oh well... at least it's a good, safe choice. And with the Democratic presidential candidate being such a different sort of person, choosing the safe choice for VP is quite understandable, and quite possibly the better choice...

Wesley Clark is alright, sure, but I do think Biden was a better choice... he just has such solid national and international security credentials, and he's a great debater too.

It is true he sometimes says really stupid things, which is the main drawback, if he says one of those stupid things in the next couple of months... hopefully he doesn't. :)
