Full Version: Huh, I can see why people are interested in Mirror's Edge...

So different from the brown-and-grey-and-drab yellow color schemes of so many current-gen titles... and great music, too.

Wow, that looks pretty fun. The bullet-time thing is a little lame, but forgivable. It looks pretty thrilling jumping from rooftops and doing crazy acrobatics in the first person. I gotta agree with you on the color scheme as well. Gritty, apocalyptic themes have been getting old for a while now. I like the blue skies and clean look of it, it kind of reminds me of the Dreamcast days (don't ask me why, I guess when I think of Dreamcast I'm just reminded of a lot of Sega games that had bright environmental designs with crisp, blue skies).
The most interesting thing might be that the game actually uses Unreal Engine 3, just like a lot of those aformentioned "dirty brown" games, proving that the problem isn't UE3, it's unoriginal art design.

This looks great.

Hah, yeah, now that you mention it, I can maybe see a similarity to Sonic Adventure there...

Evidently the game was announced last year, but I didn't notice it until a few months ago, when I think this trailer came out... I just got around to actually watching it now. Made me wish I'd watched it sooner... :)

You've got my attention.
Oh, and it's by DICE, the developers of the Battlefield series. Quite different this time... :)

It's a PC/PS3/X360 game of course.
This is going to look great running on my PC.
