There is currently a total remake of Perfect Dark (for the N64) being redone in the Half-Life 2 game engine (Source).

Better yet, they already are in beta. I've downloaded it and played around and while they only have some multiplayer set up, it is already very promising. They have done a very good job remaking some of my favorite multiplayer levels and some of the weapons (such as proximity pinball grenade, super dragon, and RP-120).

I should also add they are remaking Goldeneye in Source, but I'm more interested in Perfect Dark Source myself.

Y'know there's nothing wrong with a post that says "I too am interested in the thing you are describing". No one's going to call you a tool! If you don't like it, say that too! I just want some semblence of human response!
Looks cool... multiplayer only though, right?
Yep, and only 4 levels and about 6 weapons at that. Shows a lot of promise though.
yay! but wait... where is the laptop gun!?
They've got a video of it on their site, but that's still very buggy (it isn't yet thrown, it just appears where you are pointing).
I was gonna post and say something along the lines of "Man, that's awesome", but I figured it'd be too much of a low-content post. v:shobon:v

I don't know if my system could run it, though. I guess it did okay with CS: Source... but a Half Life 2: Source engine? Meh.

I hate not having cool toys. :(
Source is source. Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source are both using the same game engine. So is Team Fortress 2 and Portal for that matter.

Mind you, Source has had a lot of capabilities added to it since CS: Source came out.
Well, I could probably give it a whirl if it isn't that much more advanced than what I used.
I'd actually need Half-Life 2 to run this though, wouldn't I... that would be a problem... :)
Actually all you need is any game based on the Source engine. So, Counter Strike Source, Portal, any of those. They'll all give you access to the "Source Base" which is what this uses.

I'm not sure what sort of evil admins teach people today that saying "I too like that" is evil, but it isn't! That's exactly the content I wanted to hear, so I could know who else might want to play this.

Well yeah, that was my point.
I was just pointing out you didn't need any specific game. Besides, Portal is cheap and you are legally required to get it anyway!
