I've watched two so far, the first three episodes of Allison & Lillia and the first two of Chiko, Daughter of the Phantom Thief. Both are quite good.
You need to watch Macross Frontier, ABF.

And Golgo 13.
Macross... the only Macross show I've watched is Macross Plus... and that was pretty average really.

As for Golgo 13, about all I know is that there was a NES game, so it's obviously an old franchise.

... Have you watched either of the shows I mentioned?

You thought Macross Plus was average? Wow.

Wait...did you watch the movie or the actual OVA series?

I watched part of the first episode of Allison & Lillia, it looked pretty good.

Four episodes, right? That's what I saw (subtitled). There's a movie version too?

I saw it twice, actually... both times I thought the same thing, that it was okay but not great. 'Good' maybe?

Yeah, it's good. Good plot and pacing, decent characters (stereotypical like all anime, but at least somewhat different), nice setting (early 20th century style world)... it's definitely interesting. :)
Woah... Chiko 6... I knew it was coming, but... woah. Doing that kind of thing in your show takes guts. I really, really want to see the next episode now... like, now...
Spoilers?
Watch the show!

It was a hard episode to watch, but I couldn't look away... "It's a very depressing episode" would sum it up for sure. Also, though, it's setup for the rest of the series. You can't be the trainee forever...

I think there's a timeskip soon, likely between episodes 6 and 7. It would make sense. But I'm not sure exactly what direction the rest of the show is going to take, unless the ending theme and visuals are a hint. We'll see.

(The show's intro basically hints at/sets the scene for the situation and what Chico is thinking after the events of episode 6. The ending... I don't know. It refers to what happens in the rest of the show, perhaps? We'll see... whatever it is, I'm interested!)
Nevermind, I went and looked up that episode myself.
Awesome, Chiko 7 FINALLY just came out with subs! I need to watch this... like, today...
