I am so glad we took in this smiley: :Gonk: We found it on our doorstep in a bundle of blanket in a cardboard box and said, "Eh... why not." Now, the time has come for good ol' Gonk to fulfill his purpose.

McG of Charlie's Angels 1 and 2 and music videos fame is directing the next terminator movie. :Gonk: Oh god. The horror.

Awful, awful, awful. But Christian Bale is playing John Connor. Wow... he's a great actor and I'm surprised to see him take such a role, but maybe his role as Batman has helped springboard him into something like this.

Personally, I think they should have stopped after T:2, but Hollywood will stop at nothing to completely exhaust any appeal many successful franchises will ever have in lieu of original ideas. Thoughts?
Terminator vs... I dunno... alternate history American Nazis?
o wow. So first Conner Chronicals and now this. We're going from James Cameron, perfectionist, genius, to ...Mc G.

If there's any hope at all, they'll go to Cameron and have him approve it. But that wont happen. I fear a 35 minute chase sequence with cleavage and horrible, cheap CG. Probably a CG Arnie as well.

woo.
I will still see it.
I heard the Conner Chronicles is pretty decent, but it's not something I'm interested in seeing. This movie, though, I'll probably avoid like the plague. Hopefully there's some kind of oversight to this, even if it isn't Cameron himself, to make it as least train-wrecky as possible.

Man, I wish James Cameron and Ridley Scott would have carried through with working together on (what was it... Alien III that was planned?). That might have been spooge-worthy, or they might have had problems with different artistic visions. I don't know what killed it in the end, but I know they had Salvador Dali on board as well (I forget as what, though). Oh well.
I could see some really big problems cropping up in a collaboration between Ridley Scott and James Cameron. Both of them are larger-than-life directors who want every little detail to be a certain way and who will fight to make sure that happens.
Bad CG is bad, but good CG is good.

I like to eat the foods that I like.
When CG is used for fluff it's bad.

CG Arnold = Bad as bad is what bad this.
CG should be used to replace EVERYTHING. It looks better than reality at this point.
