That's when Spore is coming out.

Great, another Duke Nukem Forever...
Hearing this actually makes me incredibly excited. Not the least of which because it means that EA actually CARES about putting out a GOOD game. Quite frankly, that's just incredible. Plus, it means that Will Wright is going to have plenty of time to polish it.
To be honest, that's generally my response to delays. I just hope it doesn't end up eternally delayed, that's all.

EA isn't just one big sentient building though. Different teams have different plans, and even EA isn't going to annoy their biggest piece of talent.
I don't think Will Wright is going to let this one fall into obscurity. It's more or less the culmination of everything he's done up to this point and I get the impression that he really, REALLY wants to do it exactly right.
Obscurity? Oh yeah, that. I was actually talking about it never getting done.
"Obscurity" meaning it gets worked on for years and years and eventually people forget all about it. To the point where it more or less ceases to exist. Example: Duke Nukem Forever. Although, it has lived on, to some extent, as the biggest joke in the videogame industry.

Spore is going to be more like Twilight Princess or Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. Games that kept getting pushed back, but eventually came out and where great games.
I know what you meant, I was just saying that wasn't what I was thinking about.
I know what you meant.
I still believe in 3DRealms... :)
DNF isn't coming out, Brian. EVER.
At the end of time, we shall see the game. There will be a lamp post, an old man, beams of light, and Duke Nukem Forever.

Rumor says DNF is making major progress!

... we'll see.
The DNF trailer was pretty cool.

I was totally shocked that it was released, though... I know I defend them, but a trailer, with less than a day's notice, this year? I'd never have guessed... there'd never been any sign of something like that happening this year... next year sure (the current version of the game has been underway for a couple of years now, so it's either finish it or scrap everything again and restart for a fourth time or so, and I really think they don't want to do that. :)) (which was obviously why they released it... to surprise everyone and get attention. Well, it worked. :D) The gameplay is where the game should really show its worth, though.
Only a few more years to go!
Has it attained 10 years of age yet?
Of development, yes. It started in February 1997. Since its original release date, no. It was first supposed to come out in 1998.
Well development is the thing that counts.
I need a alien toilet to park my bricks.

You made me make a entire new thread on DNF for nothing.

Duke nukem does bring back memories hopefully forever wont suck.
