I wonder what happens next...

Bethesda's "Fallout" has a trailer coming in about a month, but I don't think any Fallout fans are really expecting the game to be anything even remotely resembling this, or something that they really want to play. I doubt that they're wrong.

I'd buy Fallout 3 if it was little more than Oblivion with a post-apocalyptic setting.

And that's exactly what every Interplay-style RPG fan is afraid of. :( That they'll make it like that and not make a Fallout game.

And why this techdemo means a lot more to me than anything we're likely to hear anytime soon about Bethesda's game...

Ran the demo... wow is it depressing to see those Interplay and Black Isle logos and know that they're gone and this game and BG3 will never come out... :(


If you'd asked me my five favorite game developers back in 1999 or so, I would have said Blizzard, Lucasarts, Sierra, Interplay, and Nintendo. Then Sierra and Lucasarts self-destructed starting that year, and then Interplay blew up (Herve Caen... )... and no one as good in their fields has shown up since. :(
